GUENOT PHILIPPE
What a surprise this flick from the prolific Lew Landers, one of the prince of the B movies from Hollywood. Very pleasant and so unusual; although I guess they exist many of those forgotten gems somewhere in the vaults. I sometimes discover some of them. Only B films. The story of a businessman who is scared of his future, because the H Bomb tests, and who decides to run away with his wife to get shelter in an old mine. So that if, there is a nuclear war, the couple will be protected. But many people are against that, for some reasons. People who can't accept that folks don't live like them.Very pleasant, I repeat again and again. And I insist on the fact that this kind of stories exist; you can find those from time to time. SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERSThe ending is exquisite. There is a very important shake in the cave where the couple has decides to live in. They think at first that WW3 has begun, but the local sheriff comes in and tells them it's only an earthquake. So our leads understand that the cave is just in the earthquake epicentre ...Ironic, isn't it?But, fortunately for them, they also find out that the mine where they live is actually a gold mine...A real gem.
