Rubber Trailers

A group of people gather in the California desert to watch a "film" set in the late 1990s featuring a sentient, homicidal car tire named Robert. The assembled crowd of onlookers watch as Robert becomes obsessed with a beautiful and mysterious woman and goes on a rampage through a desert town.

Reviews
Maidgethma Wonderfully offbeat film!
GazerRise Fantastic!
Gurlyndrobb While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.
Rio Hayward All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.
edilene-leo This is literally one of the best movies to watch while under effects of alcohol or other drugs.it simply doesn't make sense, but the movie itself is well shot, has a good cinematography and the actors are good (not perfect, but good on their respective roles).overall, watch with your friends and don't try to take this movie too seriously
carloledesma From the opening scene of the sheriff explaining to the audience that there are things in this world that happen for no reason (most of his explanation is either factually incorrect or highly idiotic), this movie however proves surprisingly that it does have reason to exist. As easily as this movie could have been written off as a movie about a tire on a killing spree. Rubber's underlying message about how independent filmmakers struggle with the big box office studios and audiences who are only fascinated with big explosions, provides a quirky and twisted movie about how a tire (indie filmmaker) would use their newly acquired psychokinetic powers.
DalerIkromov The most stupid movie of the world! "As film spectators watch, a killer car tire comes to life in a desert dump site". What are you talking about? What kind of Car Tire? Some people living together for 4 or 5 years and they can't give birth even to a child. So, why director brought to life a rubber? It would better to bring a life the whole car. By the way I saw such movie where the car is killing people. This was million times better then Rubber. The screenplay is awful. I don't know why the actors agreed to play in this film. By watching it you can understand that this movie is for nothing. Just the production company Realitism couldn't make the movie similar to its name "Realitism". Elle Driver, arte France Cinéma spent all 500$ thousand dollars in vain. "In Flexing its... rubber... and ready to roll, it soon discovers its telekinetic ability to make small animals and people's heads explode". What? Are you kidding? What the "TELEKINETIC"? The stupid way of killing. The negative words have grown up in my mind after watching this "Thing", I cannot call this "Movie".
Laurie Ann Reynolds "Rubber" is as if Samuel Beckett -the Irish playwright, not the character from "Quantum Leap"- wrote a horror movie in the same way that the initial subject seems to only be something shallow and ridiculous but ends up being very thought provoking, brings up some deep meanings, and is really out there. Perhaps I am just over thinking this movie and projecting onto it more dept than was really intended to be in the film in the first place but truly why not? That is what art is for right? Finding some meaning? The opening monologue, nay, the opening scene is brilliant! That whole sequence gives me reason to rate this film highly. If you are not going to watch the whole movie at least watch the entirety of the opening monologue. Please, just go in with an open mind and realize it is a comedy, a dark comedy. It is rather slow paced so do not watch it unless you have the patience for it at the time. You actually have to pay attention or you will be lost more than you already are watching a tire roll around and blow up things with psychokinetic abilities.
