Round Da Way Trailers

It’s summer in the hood. As every year, there are those who stay, those who leave, and... those who should have left. Some, like Joe Hustleton, work « under the table » in the rich neighborhoods and fall head over heels for a pretty girl. Some, like Tony Pepperoni, play businessman and spend the summer fleeing a local gang leader and a psychopathic girlfriend. Some, like Sammy and Harvey, pretend to have left. Tropics are far for the homies... and summer promises to be very hot !

Reviews
Softwing Most undeservingly overhyped movie of all time??
Maidexpl Entertaining from beginning to end, it maintains the spirit of the franchise while establishing it's own seal with a fun cast
Mischa Redfern I didn’t really have many expectations going into the movie (good or bad), but I actually really enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and the banter between them.
Married Baby Just intense enough to provide a much-needed diversion, just lightweight enough to make you forget about it soon after it’s over. It’s not exactly “good,” per se, but it does what it sets out to do in terms of putting us on edge, which makes it … successful?
kosmasp You'll either cherish the drawings/the style they used to draw this or you are going to hate it. It's pretty flat and "old school" so to speak. And of course it is not for children! Another example that not everything animated is made for children (ask the Japanese and/or watch some of their Anime's).A very great ensemble cast (Vincent Cassel and more) make up the very recognisable voice cast. They obviously have a lot of fun making the movie. Unfortunately, though there is much hilarity to be seen, this follows a very familiar pattern (at being politically incorrect), which makes the movie very foreseeable, even quite some jokes don't come as a surprise. Still a very good try and some will even like it more, than myself. Especially those who are familiar with the french language. I had to rely on the subtitles ...
laurent This cartoon is a jewel, thanks to the drawings and a story full of creativity! The Lascars spend their summer holiday in the suburbs of Paris, in a ghetto made of concrete where selling pot is one of the best jobs you can get. You need to speak very well French to understand the dialogs, or be used to the "verlan" where syllables are reversed. The movie is damned funny, once again thanks to the drawings and the dialogs. Situations are so realistic and yet so absurd, that they are bound to trigger laughter. The movie is based on the success of 1-minute shorts that could be seen on French TV Canal Plus (you can find them on the net, that will give you an idea). The movie manages to go beyond by creating a long story that makes the characters touching. I hope we will be able to enjoy soon Les Lascars 2.
