This movie was so-so. It had it's moments, but wasn't the greatest.

The tone of this movie is interesting -- the stakes are both dramatic and high, but it's balanced with a lot of fun, tongue and cheek dialogue.

Great movie. Not sure what people expected but I found it highly entertaining.

This is the third and final sequel to the Hong Kong action comedy series Pom Pom. Richard Ng and John Sham return one last time as detectives Chau and Beethoven, who is on a mission to protect a young girl from a gang boss' henchmen, who are trying to eliminate her so she couldn't testify in court against their boss.Unlike the previous Pom Pom movies, this film seemed to focus well on the main plot of the detectives trying to protect the girl, resulting in suspenseful action and slapstick comic relief. The subplot of Chau being misinformed he was diagnosis with terminal cancer is added intrigue and blended in well with the main plot, keeping the movie entertaining.Ng and Sham continue their sometimes frustrated and delightful partnership. The acting is spot-on and not over-the-top. It's another fine Hong Kong comedy and was also a favorite in my childhood days - it's a good one to close out the Pom Pom series.Grade B+
