Reviews
Fluentiama Perfect cast and a good story
Ploydsge just watch it!
Livestonth I am only giving this movie a 1 for the great cast, though I can't imagine what any of them were thinking. This movie was horrible
Sarita Rafferty There are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.
Horst in Translation (filmreviews@web.de) "Pixie Hollow Games" is an animated short film from 4 years ago that managed an Annie nomination and features the voices of several fairly famous actresses, especially from programs aimed at younger audiences. And while this one is also for younger audiences, it can also be a good watch for grown-ups. The animation is really really good in here and the story and humour are fine as well. It is all about the Pixie Hollow Games, which take place annually. So far, the Garden Fairies have lost every year, but Chloe, a new fairy, wants things to become different this year and forms a strong relationship with her fellow participant Rosetta. The duo goes up against fairies from all kinds of areas including a male, pretty cocky fairy, who turns out as the main antagonist. The director and writer duo have worked on many films in the past already and even if most of these are not exactly considered classics, experience shows and they came up with a fairly good film here. I recommend "Pixie Hollow Games". Strong animation and some nice heart. The dramatic scenes are sometimes a bit over the top when this movie starts itself taking more seriously than it should, but that's just a minor flow. Thumbs up.
mayacandy747 Cute story that teaches kids about teamwork and good sportsmanship. Spin-off of the Olympics. Teaches kids about teamwork because Chloe and Rosetta learned how to work together, despite their differences. Rosetta was focused on being pretty, while Chloe was a little bit of a tomboy. Good sportsmanship because the Thunder fairy (rumble) was obsessed with winning, and the Lightning fairy (glimmer) was a good sport. At the end of the movie, when Rosetta and Chloe pass the storm Fairies in the race, Rumble shoots a lightning bolt at their cart. When the storm fairies are about to win, Glimmer hits the brakes because she believes that the Garden fairies should have won. Rosetta and Chloe wheel their cart to the finish line and win :) Also, Glimmer is always saying good game to her team mates after each competition.
