Eight-year-old Erik's mother takes him to the sauna for the first time in his life. There, he has to disrobe and sees lots of naked men and women around him. He feels very uncomfortable at first but then he seems to enjoy it.

Reviews
WasAnnon Slow pace in the most part of the movie.

Contentar Best movie of this year hands down!
Zandra The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.
Horst in Translation (filmreviews@web.de) "Naakt" or "Naked" or "Erik goes to a Sauna" is a Dutch 7.5-minute short film from 10 years ago and it is about a boy who goes to a sauna with his mother. Initially he is skeptical about all the naked people there, but soon he sees something, or I should say "someone", whom he perceives in a totally different light and thus enjoys the sauna experience and says he would go there again. Pay attention to the frame this film has in terms of seesawing at the beginning and at the end. He is an innocent boy early on, but has desires like a man at the end and his seesawing partner changes accordingly. However, that is really the only interesting aspect about this little film. I found the watch not particularly interesting. Good thing is that the dialogs are so rare that you don't even need subtitles to understand this film, even if you are not able to understand Dutch. Overall, not a failure, but also not good enough to let me recommend the watch. Thumbs down.
birdstuckinchimney I have only watched a clip of this on Youtube, I wish I hadn't stumbled on it but I did.It seems to me that this movie is yet another attempt by the pedophiles of the world to normalise their sickness. While the film is supposedly about a little boy coming to "understand the naturalness of the human body" it also depicts dream scenes where he is sexualising adult females thus implying that children are like adults in their desire for sexual encounters. The subtle message is that it's only societies "norms" that make it wrong. As a previous reviewer states this could never have been made or screened in the USA, or England, Australia and NZ for that matter, and my feeling as a Kiwi is - thank goodness for that.
pinn Some parents - even in the Netherlands - will find it outrageous that a movie is made for children with obvious nudity. Most parents will like it and I would certainly recommend that it is broadcast on television. It's different in the USA, of course. It is my understanding that American stations can expect high penalties if they even consider to broadcast a movie like this. The title means 'Naked'. Although nudity is the main subject of the movie, I would have chosen a different title. 'Erik goes to a sauna' for example. The credits mention that the children's names are Erik and Sofie, but no name is mentioned in the movie.
Nathan Powers As a naturist and a devout Christian, this film does an excellent job of depicting the discovery of a young boy that the human body is not distasteful and that nakedness is totally natural and not about sexuality. I think everyone should see such films in the hopes of diminishing body shame.Son-cerely, Nathan PowersPS. It would be great if the producers would offer either an English or a subtitled version, although, I believe the message came across anyway.
