Titreenp SERIOUSLY. This is what the crap Hollywood still puts out?
Matialth Good concept, poorly executed.
ActuallyGlimmer The best films of this genre always show a path and provide a takeaway for being a better person.
Lollivan It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
countryshack Garbage in the purest sense of the word. Watching this tremendously dysfunctional garbage would be like watching someone being hanged. WHY, in Gods name, would anyone want to watch this? A movie should bring you happiness, fear, enlightenment, excitement, etc. etc. Watching this movie just makes you want to take a hot shower so you can just get if off of you. I have NO Idea how anyone could watch this ugliness and rate it higher than a 3...at most. To each his own, I guess, but take my word for it and skip this mess. It's not worth one minute of your time.
Michael Ledo I am going to give you a PLOT SPOILER review (not ending) as I think knowing the mystery enhances the story. Krisha (Krisha Fairchild) attends the family get together at Thanksgiving. She has been gone a long time. Very long. Her son Trey (Trey Edward Shults) ended up being raised by her sister (Victoria Fairchild) and she wants to reconnect. We see Krisha sneaking around the house checking draws etc. and I didn't know if she planned on poisoning everyone or was really a man with an operation. As it turns out this is a story about her alcohol addiction- there that was the plot spoiler. The house is filled with commotion and the soundtrack is just piano and drum noise making the audience feel the commotion too. It grips you. The emotions run high in the film as it envelops the viewer and makes them uneasy and tense. It is a Lifetime drama on steroids, if you like that type of thing.Guide: F-word. Porn is playing on the TV of which we get a distant glimpse, but get to hear the groans.
Amina Kasumov I've been highly anticipating the film, It Comes at Night, opening in theaters on June 9th. From watching the trailer alone, I was impressed by the look and feel of the film. It Comes at Night is only the second feature film by director/writer, Trey Edward Shults. His first feature film was released in 2015 entitled, Krisha. This film follows a woman named Krisha as she sets out to spend Thanksgiving weekend with her family. Krisha has been estranged for her family for ten years, apparently due to a substance abuse problem she used to have. Newly clean, Krisha reaches out to her sister with the hopes of reconnecting with her family and regaining their trust. However, it seems that Krisha is still battling her demons, and a downward spiral is imminent.Read more on my blog - http://sffilmbuff.blogspot.com
shadsulaman Terrible movie. I saw many of the reviewers rated this movie because of its realism? The soundtrack punishes you the entire movie. And there was no substance to really follow. I'm usually all for these one-off, real-type movies (then again, if I wanted real life or somebody else problems, I wouldn't sit down in front of the TV to watch this nonsense).Sure.. go ahead, watch it. Don't say I didn't warn you. Whatever the length of the movie in wasted time. This was a complete waste of time.. and I've seen pretty terrible movies like that movie where Samuel Jackson is the bad neighbour? Yeah, this beat that out 1000x over.
