Love, greed and fire ants mix it up in rural Texas!

Reviews
Flyerplesys Perfectly adorable
Sameer Callahan It really made me laugh, but for some moments I was tearing up because I could relate so much.
Myron Clemons A film of deceptively outspoken contemporary relevance, this is cinema at its most alert, alarming and alive.
Fleur Actress is magnificent and exudes a hypnotic screen presence in this affecting drama.
kosmasp So my Blu Ray player is starting to act up and didn't accept most of my discs I tried to feed it. I actually wanted to watch my newest addition "Menace II Society" in the Directors Cut. I've seen the original cut and very much liked it. Now you probably can guess where this is going, but I'll still write. The one disc that did work was this curiosity which I got cheap a couple of years ago. It also had a "bonus" movie on it, which I'll rate next. But back to this thing, which I guess you can call a movie. I mean it was filmed, there are people trying to act and I reckon for the time this was made, the CGI ants aren't half as bad. Actually they might be the best thing in this. I could swear I could see more emotion out of those digital creations than from the actual "actors".Than again I want to point out, that you should not write people off, because of one bad experience - no pun intended. Still this is an experience you seriously do not want to make - unless you are related to one of the people involved in the making of this, better stay clear of it (and even then ... just don't tell them)
goldguycc Small-town Texas is rife with genetically modified "fire ants" which are the product of- you guessed it- a Mad Scientist (Myrmecologist, to be exact) who is bent on the destruction of certain colleagues and townsfolk in order to realize his greedy purposes. A lanky English professor and his entomologist love interest (who become romantic in scenes that can only be described as 'uncomfortable') are heroes as they thwart the evil scientist's plans. The scariest things about this movie included the cast, plot, dialog, and special effects. The ant footage actually offers a welcome escape from everything else! Naturally, you'd be asking "Why, then, did you watch the WHOLE thing?" Answer: If you like to sit with a bowl of popcorn and mock really BAD movies, this will be a treat!
