Reviews
Hadrina The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful
Brennan Camacho Mostly, the movie is committed to the value of a good time.
Mandeep Tyson The acting in this movie is really good.
Juana what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.
Tahoma I Vicere' is one of those movies that makes you think. The subject is southern Italy in the 18th - 19th century, where a noble family of Spanish origin faces am intense internal struggle to survive the political movement - led by Garibaldi - that condemns the noble families and seeks to unite Italy under one nation. In the film, you can see how dysfunctional this family was (which really existed), and how it seeks to keep the power and authority it has always had under the new political system. My personal impression ? It made me contemplate how those in power act, in what they believe and how they do their best to keep a position of power through time; not caring about emotions, inter-personal relations, or what's actually good for the people.Verdict: Very very good watch and worth every minute spent in front of the television !
