Reviews
Matialth Good concept, poorly executed.
CommentsXp Best movie ever!
Helloturia I have absolutely never seen anything like this movie before. You have to see this movie.
Cody One of the best movies of the year! Incredible from the beginning to the end.
Ewan G Mexican family immigrates to the US, young man is a decent footballer, Father wants him to help with business, scout sees young man play, gets trial in England, conflict.By-the-numbers football rags-to-riches film which you could have written within 10 minutes before watching. The cast aren't bad (Marcel Iures the standout) although some of the Geordie accents are a bit over the top but the cultural comparisons make for amusing viewing. The cinematography is slick, building the tension up of a match day, some amicable cameos and backed up by a great Oasis heavy soundtrack.
Angelus2 Santiago is a young man from Mxico who tries hard to make a life for him and his family in the USA, but the prospects of playing football (soccer) prove to be too strong, as he leaves home to pursue his dreams in England...for New Castle, of all teams. When I first heard about this, I was put off by the story line...a little far-fetched was my first reaction...Surely they could have based it on a kid from the hard end of New Castle who makes it in the big leagues...But I gave this a chance and I was pleasantly surprised...Football is something that I'm into...It's one of the greatest sports there is..and here the footy is directed beautifully, every kick makes you believe that it will end up in the net...The actors were all satisfactory and I loved Glenn who doesn't give up on a young man's dream....Overall a good football movie...
greendragon_0 The best thing with goal is that it keeps you interested threw the whole movie. You don't even need to like football (soccer) to like this movie. It gave me the shivers a couple of times and gave a big smile on my face. It just gives those moments, which are the best in football. It shows pretty good the journey you go threw to become an professional footballer. And the movie shows real professionals such as Steven Gerrard, David Beckham, Raúl, Wayne Rooney, Frank Lampard and many more. So if you're interested in football, you are going to love this movie! The movie gets 9/10 out of all the movies i have seen, but if I only think of drama, it gets a full 10.
smettty This film is absolutely brilliant.I like this film, because it is about football and i like football very much!!!OK,this film isn't real, because Santiago, the main character, but a street boy, can't play Premier division,English league, immediately, but it is film and in the film can happen everything. It is too sadly, because Santiago father died, but Santiago play again in New castle and he play on well and in the last match in the season he scores. I like New castle stadium, because It is nice a big.On the other hand, the stadium in America is bad. Why,because there aren't seats and there isn't roof. So,when it is raining, you must go away,or stay there and you will be wet.
