I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.

This movie, starring two Mexican superstar singers/actors of the era, Jorge Negrete and Pedro Infante, has a title which translates roughly as "Two Guys to Watch Out For" It is a film very much of its time, politically incorrect on many levels; this is overlaid with a thick machista layer, underscoring the tale of male priviledge and the double standard. The film.is great fun, a fast-paced farce of misunderstandings, about two friends fallen out over a marital mix-up. The film is a little disjointed at the beginning, with a fairly long prologue. This sets up the conflict to follow. Once the actual story gets under way, it is fun to see the former friends try to trip up each other, and although not seemingly possible, there is a plausible and satisfactory denoument.Throughout the film, the two stars and other cast.members break into song quite frequently. These tend to be of the folkloric, "Ranchera" style, which is the genre usually associated with the two singers. The look of the film, additionally, plies in a folkloric vision of rural Mexico. The cinematography is excellent overall, with beautiful vistas of countryside, as well as chiaroscuro lighting in the interior scenes.

Dos Tipos de Cuidado is a movie starring arguably the two most important and central figures of the Ranchera genre. "El Charro Cantor" Jorge Negrete stars as Jorge Bueno while "El Immortal" Pedro Infante takes on the role of Pedro Malo in this Romantic Comedy about two old friends that after some rough patches, join up to conquer the women they love.I absolutely LOVED this film, the scenes with both Infante and Negrete give you tingles because here you have two of the biggest actors/singers of that time in one shot. Although i will say the script wasn't something to brag about,it will make you laugh on many occasions. The songs in the film were what make it an instant classic. The first song that is sung is the classic "o sole mio" by Negrete which blew my socks of, the man had such a great voice and was able to show it in this song. the Coplas at the dinner party was for me one of the best scenes just because of the fact that these were the biggest stars of the genre and here they are singing together. its like having Frank Sinatra do a duet with Bing Crosby, the atmosphere of both of them in the same presence would stop time. the legendary charros sung together two more in the movie,"Ojitos Tapatios"(Greatest Serenata EVER) and "Fiesta Mexicana".all in all, if you are a fan of Infante or Negrete and love to hear two very talented singers you will enjoy this movie.

Ismael Rodriguez Got the achievement of join the biggest males starts of the Mexican Show business, Pedro Infante this time couldn't take advance of having his director-protector(even in some interview Rodriguez declare that Infante used to call him daddy!) because the status of Negrete as the leader of the actors unionInfante with his natural charm seems that he doesn't care at all the enormous differences between his voice and Negrete's, however the several musical scenes, and Negrete seems to be happy with the great respect that Infante and Rodriguez dispense him, under this agreement the the audience got the biggest benefit so they could see their two idols together in a very entertain movie, besides Rodriguez didn't need to invent anything new ,so he put Infante in a rural environment as the poor of the story (as usual in his movies, specially in some directed by him)and gave to Negrete his habitual role of rich one and a good social position ideal to exalt his natural arrogance, Rodriguez told that he had some discussion with Infante, because he had to ask him reduce his intensity in order to avoid seems overacted in front of Negrete's coldnesswith very good rhythm, as usual ,Rodriguez got one of the best comedies of the fifties and maybe one of the best until today in the Mexican Cimetagrophy

'Dos Tipos de Cuidado' (Two dangerous guys) is a romantic comedy of the Golden Age of Mexican cinema. With a predictable script, this movie is a delight to see due to the presence of two of the greatest singer - actors of the Mexican screen: Jorge Negrete and Pedro Infante. The superb baritone voice of Jorge Negrete (Jorge Bueno) and the magnificent tenor voice of Pedro Infante (Pedro Malo) make this movie one of the jewels of the 'ranchero' gender.Within a year Jorge Negrete would die of an hepatic disease in Beverly Hills and Pedro Infante would follow four years latter in the crash of a cargo airplane in Mérida that he was piloting. Probably these untimely deaths account for the popularity of this movie, the only in which these two Mexican (and Latin American) superstars would share scenes, of which the singing duel and the final fiesta scenes are monuments of great acting and superb singing.
