Livestonth I am only giving this movie a 1 for the great cast, though I can't imagine what any of them were thinking. This movie was horrible
Mabel Munoz Just intense enough to provide a much-needed diversion, just lightweight enough to make you forget about it soon after it’s over. It’s not exactly “good,” per se, but it does what it sets out to do in terms of putting us on edge, which makes it … successful?
Tobias Burrows It's easily one of the freshest, sharpest and most enjoyable films of this year.
Logan By the time the dramatic fireworks start popping off, each one feels earned.
jacobjohntaylor1 This is a great movie. It is very scary. It has great special effects. It also has a great story line. It also has great acting. 5.2 is a good ratting. But this is such a great movie. That 5.2 is underrating it. This movie is a 9. It is one of the best horror movies of all time. If it does not scary you no movie will. It is a very scary movie. See this movie. It is a great movie. Great movie great movie great movie great movie. See it see it see it see it see it. I need more lines and I am running out of things to say. Great movie great movie great movie great movie great movie.
robdeceased Dead Rising is a popular zombie themed third person action/adventure franchise from Capcom. Dead Rising: Watchtower is a boring, half assed, generic c-grade zombie movie. What is genuinely upsetting about this movie is that it could have been something special if it actually used the campy themes and over the top action of the video games, but instead it's almost paint by numbers-esque in it's execution, with only very minor details lifted from the game.Porn parodies have more in common with the source material than this movie. Also Rob Riggle as Frank West does not work at all and whoever wrote the character for this movie has never played the games as his attitude and lines are all kinds of wrong.Don't bother with this one.
skybrick736 Dead Rising: Watchtower was quite the surprise having little faith in a film based off of a video game. It's relevant to say as the viewer there was no understanding of the video game or background, just went in open-minded. The notion of government aided shots to diminish the zombie side effects is a brilliant conception. Also, Dead Rising did a fantastic job portraying the despicableness of the United States media and the sneakiness of the government to strengthen our national security. The casting efforts should be applauded for a film that was most likely going to be direct-to-video (instead it was released by Crackle). Jesse Metcalfe and Meghan Ory looked and played the part very well and it was cool to see Virginia Madsen take a role that she can do perfectly. There was always an anticipation for myself of the next news scene between Rob Riggle and Carrie Genzel, having some extremely funny moments. Dead Rising is another bright spot of 2015 horror movies, which turned out to be a great year of non-mainstream horror.
Kevin Lea Davies OK, if you're a fan of the video games, this is a must. As a stand alone movie, it's pretty terrible, but in a funny way.Jesse Metcalfe plays pseudo-reporter Chase, stuck behind the lines during a government evacuation in East Mission, Oregon, during a zombie apocalypse. Desperately trying to make a name for himself, he goes around trying to "Break the Story," while avoiding being eaten alive by zombies, or murdered to death by marauding villains.Okay, so the premise of the film isn't anything special. THIS IS JUST ANOTHER ZOMBIE FILM. The only thing that makes it stand out as a title is it's relationship to the video games. The surprising aspect of the film is it's subtle humor. It actually has some hilarious jokes, outside of the main story line. The actors really tried to throw themselves into their roles, but actually they clash with the hilarity of what's going on around them. Rob Riggle even makes a guest appearance as 1st survivor Frank West. It doesn't matter that he doesn't look or sound like him, but hey, he's pretty funny. From the ridiculous weapons, predictable plot twists, and some absolutely hilarious zombie moments (the baby bjorn was the best!), it's worth a watch.5/10
