Filmed entirely on location in the Caribbean, this touching family drama tells the adventurous tale of a Puerto Rican boy who befriends a Paso Fino palomino, a descendant of the horses of the Spanish Conquistadors. The young man kidnaps the colt in order to ride in the island horse championships and ends up learning a lesson in responsibility and honor.

Claire Dunne One of the worst ways to make a cult movie is to set out to make a cult movie.
Patience Watson One of those movie experiences that is so good it makes you realize you've been grading everything else on a curve.
telegrafic The film tells the story of a boy from Puerto Rico who works selling fruit and whose life changes the day he meets a paso fino palomino, a horse descendant from the Spanish horses named this way for the special way of smooth walking he has. More a documentary than a film and although not one of Disney's best, it is still an enjoyable and entertaining movie for all the family containing good values as well as a good story. I do recommend it to all horse and Disney lovers. The film was filmed on location in the Caribbean and the boy role is played by the son of a Puerto Rico famous entertainer. The horse is named Cristobalito for Cristopher Columbus.
