This movie was so-so. It had it's moments, but wasn't the greatest.

One of the worst ways to make a cult movie is to set out to make a cult movie.

This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.

Erik Skjoldbjærg really broke through with "Insomnia", a solid detective mystery with dark tones set in Scandinavia... here is an earlier look at that detective sense (though in English).Although short (this film could be a feature film), we get a great sense of how easily things can go astray. A teacher, who is married to a woman half his age, starts to get too much attention from the police when he is inadvertently involved in a crime with a 15-year old girl.He is a difficult figure to analyze. Are we to be hard on him when he freely admits he is old enough to be his wife's father? Probably not, but the police seem to see something amiss in there...
