Numerootno A story that's too fascinating to pass by...
Ezmae Chang This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
GL84 After a series of strange encounters around town, a doctor and a police detective find that the culprits are random virginal women being raped by a race of shape-shifting aliens looking to mate with humans and must band together to find a way of stopping their spree. This one wasn't all that bad if looked at in the right manner. One of the best aspects to this here is the highly fun and enjoyable sleaze present here which makes for a rather fine experience. By detailing the whole of the encounter as rapes, it takes a rather darker tone here with the usual ploy of the insect-like aliens looking to mate which gives this a rather dark and disturbing tone when coupled with the rather striking feature of the need for virginity to be utilized for their needs. That gives this the need for some tense and somewhat suspenseful attacks that occur throughout here, from the opening attack on the lone girl walking home from her failed date, the attack on the model in the photography studio and the rather shocking ambush in the nurse's house where her date is knocked off without her knowing and then turning around to see the bug-eyed alien jump out to attack her. That leaves the film with a few rather nice attacks to lead into the finale in the underground tunnels where their nest is found with all the victims writhing around in the pool of liquid where all the shape-shifting aliens are gathered around waiting on them and the battle to stop them from coming to maturity makes for a really nice fight and the ending measures to finally get them wiped off is a rather unique effort. Given that these scenes here produce a rather fun amount of nudity with just about everything shown from every woman in the cast, there's some rather nice times here when this one goes into the exploitation offerings yet there's very little else worthwhile here. This is due to the film's rather obvious lack of budget and really showcasing itself as a cheap, shoddily-made effort with the cheap looking sets, sparse locations and rather long scenes featuring them standing around in the same location waiting around for test results or discussing a plan of action. There's nothing realistic about these scenes and it just enhances this part of the film rather highly due to its frequency and occurring nature. The other big flaw to this one is the rather phony-looking make-up effects for the gore as well as the aliens, which are rather flimsy and seem cartoonish compared to what they're attempting to represent and take all the fun out of the kills in this one. These here really drag this one down considerably.Rated R: Constant Full Nudity, Graphic Violence, Language, Rape scenes and drug use.
GoNiFo I called my review simply: "the Worst Movie I Ever Saw" because I couldn't find more accurate words to describe the horror I viewed on my TV. I have never said that I despise a movie or that it's the worst. Even the ones on Sci-Fi (SyFy???) are mildly entertaining because they are so bad. Usually a movie has something that will redeem it so I can't say it was absolutely terrible. This movie however has no redeeming qualities, it's exactly as the others who hated it here describe and I hate myself for having subjected myself to this monstrosity.Following is the review I gave it for my own well being...I had to do something with the thoughts of disbelief swirling around in my head after watching it.I recently saw a movie that was unbelievably terrible in every aspect of all that is shitty. You see, when the digital conversion thing went through last year and people without cable had to get the converter, those who had regular un-digital cable, like us, were able to get a digital converter box. When that happened, all of a sudden we were able to get Comcast on Demand. A perk of this service of course being, free movies that we are able to watch on demand.Well, my husband was searching through the free movies and stops at this one called "Breeders". We read the description given for it and it sounded at the very least tolerable with promise of maybe being good. From the moment the movie started until the second it ended I felt my jaw stretching open more and more as I was unable to close it from the sheer shock of how utterly terrible this piece of crap was. The storyline was the stupidest thing I ever dared to think someone would write about, the acting was below sub-sub-par, and when I say special effects, I mean that there weren't any. This film needed a whole lotta something. Namely that it should have never been made. What a waste of time and $5.00.I remember thinking I felt bad for the actors in it because they probably thought this could have been their big break. Holy crap, they were probably all ordered to be executed so that the world might move past the tragedy they helped to create on screen.I really couldn't believe it. This "masterpiece" was made in 1986.
lite_fuzz Thanks to the wonderful fast-frames feature Netflix provides for their streaming movies, you can watch this truly awful movie in about a minute and a half. Who would ever actually sit and watch this in real time? Or could? But clipping along at 16x, its actually kind of fun. Is there any purpose for making this movie other than showing blood-drenched naked chicks having sex? No, of course not. But it fulfills this rather well. So unless you get off on this (I don't), there's no point seeing it unless you just enjoy watching a truly awful movie (I do).So...imagine my joyful surprise when this incredibly hot super-hunk shows up wanting to play button, then rips off his leather jacket. Woof! 10 stars for the bare-chested Pat Rizzolino, billed as the intruder (and we were led to believe this was the safe part of the East Village!)Thanks, Mr. Gage!
James Bourke Within the world of Adult Cinema, writer and director Tim Kincaid will always be revered, having no inclination to track down any of that kind of cinema, my interest in Mr Kincaid work has always been rooted within his frenzy of activity working within the confines of low budget exploitation horror and science fiction movies. My first run in with the man's work was the delightfully trashy Bad Girls Dormitory, which followed the formula for all those films within the genre, remember the likes of 'Concrete Jungle' & 'Chained Heat' the list is endless.Bad Girls Dormitory was to be the movie that introduced Tim Kincaid to the legendary film producer and sometime director Charles Band, and upon Band viewing the movie, Kincaid was offered a multi picture deal to churn out some straight to video quickies.Such titles Kincaid found himself involved in, whilst not exactly award winners, have garnered some serious cult status down through the years, and although I haven't watched all of them, a lack of proper distribution back in the day was partly to blame, plus these days some of his B movies just haven't been released to DVD.One such title that has managed to survive is 'Breeders' when I first watched this film back in my teenage years, my only reason for checking it out was the movie's association with Charles Band, as to who Tim Kincaid was never fully dawned on me.As many armchair critics have observed, all aspects of the movie are truly cheesy, the acting is most certainly off the wall, but what it does have going for it, is copious amounts of nudity, the mere sight of Amy Brentano doing nude aerobics is quite a sight to behold, as to why she felt the need to strip to nothing to perform such an act beggars belief, but such thoughts quickly disappear. The other highlight was the special effects make-up courtesy of Ed French, who appears in the movie, the effects for what they are are suitably gross and goofy at the same time.As to whether or not the storyline bares much scrutiny in terms of logic and sense please remember this is a B movie, with sensibilities as such, and it it my theory that Tim Kincaid had his actors as act accordingly.Let's remember, Tim Kincaid is renowned within the circles of Gay cinema, he likes his actors to look a certain way and act a certain way, so it's not folly to think that every step of this movie has not been thought out seriously, yes it was designed as a quickie for the straight to video market and no matter what people think of this movie or the entire works of Tim Kincaid back catalogue of B movie output, he certainly knew what was required and how to entertain the masses. This movie gets an 8/10, why? because it has a certain charm attached to it
