Breathing Under Water Trailers

What stops two people from being together? A third one. What stops one person from fighting for another? Nothing. Pedro lives in the suburbs, where he works with his father in a garage. Everyday he takes the bus downtown where he goes to school and meets his friends. It's summertime and they all go down to the river where they spend their free time or even their school time. Among joints, motorbike riding and swimming, everything seems to go well with this group of friends, until the moment when Pedro and his best friend find out that both of them like the same girl. Pedro finds himself inside a downward spiral, where everything around him seems to fall apart. Like a magnet attracts the iron, Pedro seems to attract problems, from the school until his relationship with his parents. This is the story of Pedro, who by having his head being pushed down so much learned how to breathe under water.

GazerRise Fantastic!
GarnettTeenage The film was still a fun one that will make you laugh and have you leaving the theater feeling like you just stole something valuable and got away with it.
Gurlyndrobb While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.
Bluebell Alcock Ok... Let's be honest. It cannot be the best movie but is quite enjoyable. The movie has the potential to develop a great plot for future movies
blacknail Since there is not even a single review for this, I decided to go on and make my first one for IMDb, since this little movie deserves it. I must say that although I usually don't watch many shorts, this must be my all-time favorite so far. Set in Coimbra, Portugal, it brings me some personal memories – I remember when casting was made at my school back then (1999), the main actress studied there and even two friends of mine got roles as extras. It is also very interesting to see places that I know so well, and see how some of them have changed so much in only 10 years. But now for the most important: the film. Filmed with a low budget, it has great both acting moments (the two main actors completely steal the show) and landscape shots (the underwater shots, the bottle shot, the city landscape seen from the Açude bridge, etc). Above all, it's a wonderful teen love story, with all the issues it brings. Little dialogue, great cinematography, great soundtrack (mainly by artists from Coimbra). António Ferreira is a name to watch, I already saw "Esquece Tudo O Que Te Disse" and I can't wait for "Embargo".Thumbs up, highly recommended!
