Reviews
GamerTab That was an excellent one.
Micitype Pretty Good
VeteranLight I don't have all the words right now but this film is a work of art.
Ella-May O'Brien Each character in this movie — down to the smallest one — is an individual rather than a type, prone to spontaneous changes of mood and sometimes amusing outbursts of pettiness or ill humor.
dmw361 I absolutely loved this movie!!! Cheese from the word "Go". Bad acting, terrible script, stolen movie themes and it was great. Of course I also secretly love cheese horror. If you are looking for a bad movie to pan then this is it. There's not a lot of gore just your typical "teen-age" counselors running around getting killed off by the local Legend:Trevor Moorehouse. (Who in turn is a poor man's Jason. And why wouldn't he be when the whole thing takes place at a summer camp.) The story seems to be being made-up as the movie goes along (ie:we're writing as fast as we can shoot it) and the actors have trouble getting out of the proverbial paper bag they're acting in. Ah the bad stinky (cheese) smell.
Ben Sisson WOW!!! I can't remember seeing something that could be any worse then this piece of garbage. Bad acting, bad 'special' effects, bad everything. Everything was stolen from classic horror movies such as Friday the 13th, Halloween and the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The name of the killer is about as pathetic as the title. Bloody murder?? I'd say funny murder. You can find more blood in a mosquito then in this movie. Save yourself agony, money and time. Avoid this movie. Besides, it would be stupid to spend money on this movie. the cost of renting the movie is probably higher then the cost of MAKING the movie!! Watch the classics that are being embarrassed by this movie.Total crap!!1 out of 10
chucknorrisfacts Wow! I just had the misfortune of catching "Bloody Murder" on television, and let me just say it is eighty-two minutes of my life I'm never getting back. I'm in awe of just how terrible this movie is.It is the most shameless "Friday the 13th" knock off I've ever seen. I mean it's bad enough to set another "slasher film" at a camp, but to have the killer wear a hockey mask? That's flat out plagiarism in my book. This film has no redeeming quality whatsoever; the writing is bad, the acting is worse.I cannot believe the overwhelming majority of this picture was filmed in the daylight. Come on guys, everybody knows to film a scary movie at night. The killer looks awkward and hokey, certainly not the least bit intimidating. The only thing more disturbing than the fact "Bloody Murder" was ever made was to see it spawned a sequel. How pathetic is that? I hope this commentary will serve as a warning to anyone "on the fence" about seeing this movie, please for your own sake don't waste your time. Life's too short, go rent the real "Friday the 13th" or better yet go rent "Halloween".
danthewrestlingmanorigin First off, let me make sure you don't confuse this piece of garbage with Scream Bloody Murder( this films original title) with another film of that same name, that came out a couple years later. My review is of the one that has a Jason Vorhees knockoff on the cover. I'm not going to waste to much of my valuable time complaining about this, but have to add it ranks as one of the worst slashers ever. No gore, no nudity, no suspense, this could have been screened in a church, and nobody would've been offended. What draws so much hate from genre fans, is the nerve to have a Jason lookalike on the cover, and not include one small piece, of what fans like myself enjoyed in that series. I'd rather watch Ilsa The Wicked Warden with my ultra conservative Grandmother, then have to bear the torment of watching this putrid piece of garbage again.
