Blade of the Phantom Master Trailers

Long ago, the legends say, there was a secret army. Unseen until needed, these warriors struck from the shadows, protecting justice and defending the Jushin Empire from both tyrants and thieves. They were called the Amen Osa, the Phantom Masters. But now Jushin has fallen, its kingdoms destroyed and its citizens left to the mercy of zombies, beasts and sadists. Yet from the ashes of destruction, a hero has appeared to defend the people. His name is unknown, and no man knows who he serves... but there are clues: the strange symbol he wears around his neck and the female living weapon he commands. Is he the last of the Amen Osa? The answer will be revealed when the Blade of the Phantom Master is unleashed!

Reviews
Acensbart Excellent but underrated film
Manthast Absolutely amazing
GarnettTeenage The film was still a fun one that will make you laugh and have you leaving the theater feeling like you just stole something valuable and got away with it.
Janis One of the most extraordinary films you will see this year. Take that as you want.
Angels_Review So besides the title not making any sense, the story is alright. Sadly, it feels like an episode instead of an actual movie. I felt I was watching a couple of anime TV shows. There were about 2 or three stories that were there about how Munsu ends up getting a Sando, a servant, and then ends up going to an Island for the rest of the show. It didn't stand out next to any other anime show that came out in 2004. It felt lack luster as a movie but as a TV show, it would have done much better. The storyline was basic to many shows where we have a wonderer who is alone and ends up getting a companion… might I add female companion… who follows him around all the time. Only real difference is that she can actually fight but she doesn't listen to his every word at times. They never explain if Munsu has something wrong with him and that's why he has a inhaler or if it's something to do with the power he bears. There are a lot of open endings that they really should have filled in if this was going to be its own movie. The animation has a slightly interesting mix of CG and animation. It isn't that it doesn't fit right; it just is a bit easy to see that this is CG and this is not. There are still images mixed with the CG that just looks a little off in the beginning. As the show goes on, the only real thing that shows up CG is the dark soldiers he summons. Half the time, the background would look very detailed and the only time when it doesn't fit with the characters is when they are in the desert because the color of the characters really threw me off. There is a headband that Munsu wears is actually supposed to be left on a cross but he wears it throughout the whole show. The voices and music are what I would expect for the time it was made. There is nothing that seriously stands out for the voices although I do sort of like Munsu's more then any other. Other then that, not much else.
joelherro Seems like the other viewers must have liked this more than me, for the average to be that high (there has only been 18 votes, this may change)...i'm not saying this was bad, it just wasn't great...the animation is good, and the CGI fits in well, but the storyline seems like its been done before and better...Set in an unknown time period, as far as i could tell, since he has guns, some that look modern, others way old, plus other dudes use swords, and his clothes look kinda modern where everyone else is wearing old gear...in an unknown country, where the town/city the hero comes from has been destroyed, so he's now a kind of Ronin...guy with powers (not much in this dude's case) goes around righting wrongs...he's not a particularly likable bloke either...I'm not sure if this is the start of a series, but it would make more sense if it is...maybe if each week here went somewhere and fought a bunch of baddies with different powers and he gained more along the way, it might be really cool, but with just 85 mins, there's no character development, not much fighting, and then its over...So, watch it if u are a huge anime fan, or have tons of spare time, but don't lose if any sleep if u miss it...
