The main character is crazy about about depicting various anomalies in art. Accidentally he finds a cinematography archive which makes him advance a completely new theory on the reasons why humans became bipedal. Yufit proceeds with the plot by describing a scientist struggling against the epidemic wave of anomalies in the physical and mental world thematically started in his other films. This time the struggle takes place on the background of paleoanthropology, psychoanalysis and modern art. As materials of the Museum of Anthropology and other archives are included in the film, it oversteps the boundary between a feature film and documentary.

Reviews
Noutions Good movie, but best of all time? Hardly . . .
Glucedee It's hard to see any effort in the film. There's no comedy to speak of, no real drama and, worst of all.
Casey Duggan It’s sentimental, ridiculously long and only occasionally funny
Guillelmina The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.
jerebron-1 I read the other review before watching the movie and feared the worst. Come on, I've seen much, much worse. This movie is an interesting mix between fact, fiction, dream and reality. The experiments are unsettling and not far from reality at all. Who knows what kind of experiments happened in the past and what is going on right now? That's the question. And the main character's father was involved (that's as much as I am giving away from the plot. And yes, there is a plot). If you want to waste your time with the usual Hollywood fare of explosions and meaningless action, yes go ahead don't watch this please! I liked it and give it a *** out of 5.
FlaqQ A friend of mine and me went to the Rotterdam Film Festival and decided to see some foreign movies. Whe figured it would be cool to see something a little different then normal. And, oh boy, did we make a mistake. The screening started with the director telling us that you should only watch the picture and that we shouldn't read the subtitles. Because we could miss some of the message's implanted in the visuals of the movie. That was the first sign of trouble. Now understand, I really like weird movies. I like David Lynch weirdness. I like Miiki Takashi weirdness. But this was just to much for anyone to handle. The movie is about an artist which illustrates insects and decides to move to an old house. In that old house he finds reports about human experiments. Experiments which seem to combine human and ape to create a super soldier for the government. This information you will get from the first 20 minutes and that's about the only logical thing you can decipher from the storyline. The whole movie seemed to be a collection of weird shots, and in the end no one in the screening room seemed to understand what this movie was about. So in short: If you like weird movies with no plot and strange black and white shots of burning houses and trains, you should see this movie. If you like your modern cinema, just avoid it and forget you ever visited this page for more information.* out of 5
