GUENOT PHILIPPE This french TV movie takes place in Belleville, the Chinese district in Paris - actually not the main one, but a place where a very important community from Asia lives - and tells us the story of a petty hoodlum, a french one, who is involved with a mysterious Chinese man in search of a young woman. And this fellow asks our lead to help him to purchase the gal. This is a classic tale, with a good description of the underworld in Belleville, good dialogues, sensitive and convincing characters. Some violence and brutality too. Also some romance, of course. No length or boredom in this TV film. Pure french stuff. Not bad.
