Horrible, fascist and poorly acted

Each character in this movie — down to the smallest one — is an individual rather than a type, prone to spontaneous changes of mood and sometimes amusing outbursts of pettiness or ill humor.

There are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.

I'm surprised to see so much dislike because whilst undeniably flawed in some respects, it told a tight, coherent story without overdoing the screams or special effects and maintained an air of mystery through to the open conclusion. The pacing was unhurried and the production high quality. In terms of flaws, some of the acting wasn't quite there, some of the scenes weren't quite there and the final act was fairly predictable. Another 10-15 minutes building on the backstory would have helped to better establish context. That said, for me at least it kept up the interest.

The story SOUNDS interesting - until you start to watch and see how crappy the acting is. Then - the story drags...if you could call this a story. This received a 2 ONLY to be kind. It was a struggle to finish. When it finished...I was like "It's over?". FAKE 5 out of 10 reviews! How much were these guys paid?

I honestly was confused for most part of the movie. And the ending is the worst. I don't get it at all. Who is that guy?? I don't remember seeing him in any other scenes? Worst movie ever. This is the first time I had to resort to google to try understand a movie. I don't know how much those people got paid to give this more than 1 star. I still can't figure out the meaning to the end of the movie; someone explain please.

Spoilers, if you haven't seen a horror film. The film opens in 1964 New Haven as a woman tries to escape with her baby from...? Then in the present, Adam (James Zimbardi) gets a call from his brother...mom is missing. Adam packs up the wife and infant and goes to help out. We meet a group called Gateway, that doesn't make computers. It is run by a creepy kid named Lawrence (Raam Weinfeld) and that is all we need to know. Plot solved. The acting was okay, nothing to write home about. Grace Van Dien, daughter of Casper Van Dien had a minor role. At least she could have stepped on a bug or something. Skyler Caleb credits the idea for the film he got from a dream, a dream he might of had after watching "The Believers," a film you should watch instead.Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity.
