invisibleunicornninja I haven't seen the whole series as I only have the first disc. Its interesting and entertaining with a nice plot. I probably wouldn't recommend it or watch more, but its ok.

Logeshwaren Pillay Wolf's Rain is just the best anime ever! There's no argument! It touches many different grounds and thus establishes itself as one of the most philosophical animes of all time. It urges us, the viewers, to ask ourselves the most fundamental questions, for example, why do we live? Throughout the anime, we witness how the main characters (Kiba, Hige, Tsume and Toboe) and even the supporting characters, grow up and change and experience different feelings which at the end of the series serve to illustrate how each and everyone of us interpret life and beyond that... One of the most important and interesting part of the story is obviously Episodes 19 and 20, where Kiba meets Myu in the Eternal Garden. Though it's an illusion, it shows the veritable feelings of Kiba towards his friends and Cheza and why he wants to find the "Rakuen". With a background of Sci-Fi/Fantasy, Wolf's Rain shows how Society is, with discrimination, Capitalism, aspirations and how human beings are, love, hatred, confusion, trust, loyalty and the animal instincts in all of us. Therefore, I can only conclude this review by stating once more, the most obvious fact, Wolf's Rain is the beat anime of all time!

siderite The animation is beautiful and it reminds me of Cowboy Bebop. If you cross Hige and Kiba you get the tall guy in CB. Anyway, the story is very interesting and convoluted, with many characters going their own way, but always bumping into each other and a lot of mystical stuff from the Japanese mythology.Everything revolves around a Lunar Tome that describes what the end of the world would look like and how the world was actually made by wolves. I seem to remember an episode in Inuyasha where the action revolved around a lunar scroll and a red moon and a poem, so I guess this is some story every Japanese knows and I don't.The music is better than most animes, but it's in English, again reminding me of Cowboy Bebop. Overall I thought it was marvelously drawn, with a nice story and a lot of potential. Alas, it all broke down around episode 15, when the show had 4 episodes made entirely of flashbacks. Worse, after these episodes, everything just goes Japocalyptic and sad. Even the last message of hope is tainted by evil, even if I could swear somebody hummed "Spreading the seeds of love" while drawing the last few scenes.I guess that the moral of the story is that there is a single world and we should make good by it, but after such a sad ending and mystical mambo-jumbo, all one wants is to wipe out tears and watch some comedy.Bottom line: Very good 26+4 episodes show, better than most animes, but inconsistent. The first episodes seem very different from the last. Also, being Japanese probably helps one understand a lot of stuff there.

One of these wolves, the white wolf, Kiba, scours the land for the scent of the Lunar Flower that will lead them to Paradise. This bleak post-apocalyptic story will entrance you, make you laugh, make you grin like and idiot, and will make you cry. There are 30 total episodes, most of them are a must see. There are some episodes that just recap what has happened. The story, about four wolves, Kiba, Tsume, Hige and Toboe try to find the Flower Maiden, Cheza. The Flower Maiden along with the wolves will be the one to open up Paradise, meant for the wolves. And as in every story, there is a bad person, Darcia, a Noble. The Nobles created Paradise, and Darcia wants Cheza to help him to save his love, Harmonia, who has a disease that can be cured with Paradise. The ending is a tear-jerker, if you must know the truth. You get so attached to the wolves, you love them. If you loved Cowboy Bebop, you will love Wolf's Rain. Made by the same creators, Wolf's Rain is darker, but still entrances the viewer.
