zsofikam Wimzie's House ranks up there with some of the most adorable shows I've ever seen and I hope to show it to my own kids one day (I also have some young cousins who like it). It follows the various stories of Wimzie, a 5-year-old dragon-bird hybrid who, along with her baby brother Bo and her friends Jonas, Horace, and Lulu, spends time at her grandmother's daycare learning new things each and every day. Themes include patience, honesty, sharing, jealousy, friendship troubles, sibling rivalry, and knowing when to stop. As well as these important themes, there are many other things to love. For one thing, the theme song is pretty catchy, as are the other songs, and the puppetry is downright eye-catching. I was honestly shocked when I learned that the Jim Henson company sued Cookie Jar for no other reason but using puppets. Other shows and movies can use puppets whether Henson likes it or not. Anyway, Wimzie's House helps to illustrate very nice messages about getting along and being a good friend. An absolute must see that wins my seal of approval.
courage1999 A great TV show for puppet lovers about an energetic purple haired girl named Wimzie who is a combination of bird and dragon. Wimzie's House is a daycare center where she gets to play, sing, and do crafts with her friends Horace, Jonas, and Loulou. The daycare is run by Wimzie's gone hundred, fifty year-old grandmother, Yaya who has "magical powers." Each episode teaches different themes including: copping with fears, sibling rivalry, trust, and knowing when to stop. Started in 1998, Wimzie's House is currently cancelled and not playing anymore, but is still a great show.
