It's a mild crowd pleaser for people who are exhausted by blockbusters.
Helllins
It is both painfully honest and laugh-out-loud funny at the same time.

Unshakable, witty and deeply felt, the film will be paying emotional dividends for a long, long time.

If you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.

Wake Up Call is a ground breaking "makeover" show, it does do justice to the old saying "give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime". The Rock just does not provide to the materialistic needs of a person but makes sure that he/she will be in a position to make the best of it. People in the show transcend from a state of perpetual rock bottom to one filled with a promise of a better future. You can be sure that no one could have done this better than Mr.Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. He for sure has been through the worst of days and has overcome it with RAW power, he still wakes up at 4 AM and works out, the discipline runs in his vein, so expect the same rigor in the show. Each episode of the show has people from totally different walks of life and so the challenges they face are that different too. Getting through the tough emotional challenges their family face and following up till the end to make sure they transcend from their worst to their best is incredible. All in all this show stands as a testimony for all those who have pretty much lost hope or are to just ignorant about the obvious that a Wake Up Call is overdue!
