Karry Best movie of this year hands down!
Stometer Save your money for something good and enjoyable
Sharkflei Your blood may run cold, but you now find yourself pinioned to the story.
Aneesa Wardle The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.
dotjames-70221 Celia Imrie, known for the Best Exotic Marigold Hotel movies, plays La Tour's sister in one episode. She is not mentioned in the cast list. I really don't have a lot to say, otherwise, about the series. This was the only place I could find to mention the omission. I have always enjoyed Jacobi's work, esp. I, Claudius and more recently Last Tango in Halifax & think his talents are a bit wasted in Vicious. All in all, the comedy is a pleasant way to kill a half-hour without expending any brain power on it. I'm not particularly impressed with the actor who plays Ash. He's not handsome or impressive enough for all the oo-ing & ah-ing the elders do over him.
kitten1504 I have seen a lot of bad reviews on here of this, most of them stemming from the united states (which does not surprise me), so I thought I would put across my opinion.I, personally, think this is absolutely brilliant. Razor sharp humour from everyone, some people may think it is a bit outdated but I think that adds to the charm of the show. There is lovely, hateful chemistry between Sir Ian and Sir Derek. The repartee of the two leads is just utterly fantastic and hilarious, and not forgetting the supporting cast who are just as brilliant. Overall I think that this old school sitcom is one of the best to come out of England in a very long time.
Chris Bagnall It would be such a shame if this show did not continue- there have been quite a few critical reviews and so I am writing to try to even the balance. In this stressful world, it is vital to find ways to lighten the gloom. Vicious provides quality of a kind that just does not come around every day. We just need more episodes! We have found this series to be full of entertainment, laughs, tenderness and, a really high quality addition to to our lives. We have enjoyed the main actors performances in other shows on stage and screen and now we have an extra dimension There is nothing to fault and everything to hope for in terms of subsequent series.
jbarnes-10 We struggled through the first episode shown here in the U.S., and all I can say is, I would rather watch a kitten get hit by a car. The show is about four decades out of date. The cast chews the scenery like Faye Dunaway in Mommie Dearest, only it is not funny or entertaining in the least. It was stomach turning it was so bad. These are not real characters but hyper-blown stereotypes that scream their way across the set, strutting about like peacocks. This show sets the image of gay men in the year 2014 back about forty years and we will not be watching any more of it. Hopefully it will die its much deserved death at the end of its Freshman season never to be seen again.
