Odelecol Pretty good movie overall. First half was nothing special but it got better as it went along.
Maidexpl Entertaining from beginning to end, it maintains the spirit of the franchise while establishing it's own seal with a fun cast
Frances Chung Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable
Dana An old-fashioned movie made with new-fashioned finesse.
Profondorosso75 yes I care!! I remember this show and it was great. a crime there is not DVD release with some nice special features for the fans(are there any except me and the other guy who posted?) if I remember correctly the lead-in to this show was a show called "hooperman" which was a great show starring the late, great john ritter in a seldom seen dramatic role(he was great in it too) I can't imagine why where is not DVD release for these. I guess there is some silliness with the "rights" and so forth. I would gladly pay to get these shows on DVD. I hope the studios wake up and start getting some of the great stuff that has been neglected out on DVD soon! ahh well, wish I could see them again, it has been so long an they seem forgotten. too bad.
spiritof67 One of the interesting things about this show is that it marked the beginning of an interesting pattern for Megan Gallagher: she got fired off a popular show. Happened again on China Beach. Happened again on Millennium. Somebody needs to investigate or interview her to find out what's up. I think she holds some kind of record here...there has to be a reason why a talented actress like her, certainly easy on the eyes, gets bounced unceremoniously off three different shows, and that's just the ones about which I know. She seems to work pretty regularly, so it doesn't seem like she's a pariah - and yet there's still a pattern here. There's got to be something to this. Anybody know anything?
woodmydarling I was lucky enough to find the 4 disc complete series of one of my favorite shows (The Slap Maxwell Story) on DVD.The price of the DVD's was very reasonable, and the quality of the (obviously homemade, from what appears to be VHS tape) analog transfer to digital was clearly decent enough for me to once again enjoy the viewing this classic show (first released on the ABC television network in 1987).The Slap Maxwell Story along with another Dabney Coleman TV show (Buffalo Bill) was (in my opinion), great television acting, and exquisite (dark comedy) television writing at it's best. For all of the other "Slap" fans out there, here's is the website address where I found The Slap Maxwell Story DVD's,... www.classics2dvd.comEnjoy!
