Moustroll Good movie but grossly overrated
Dynamixor The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.
Mathilde the Guild Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.
Raymond Sierra The film may be flawed, but its message is not.
cinephile-27690 I have not seen this version but I have seen renditions of this show. Questions that are asked are always something LIKE: "How often do you and your partner have sex?" "On what day of the week do you normally have sex?" stuff like that that NO ONE needs to know, let alone get paid to talk about! My Mom also hated it since a gay couple was once on and they kissed whenever agreeing on an answer-that doesn't bother me too much now but still-that could bother some people. Don't watch The Newlywed Game-it's just dirty questions.
ShelbyTMItchell This is my all-time favorite show. As it is the one, that put Chuck Barris and Bob Eubanks, the host, on the map. With four newlywed couples(Hence the title), are asked about themselves in questions that you would not normally answer. But not the case with Barris of course. As the women go off the stage first and then come back on, to guess what their husbands would say and vice versa, with the men secondingly. Then, if you get the right answer, it gives you five points during the first round. Ten pounds the second round. Leading to the 25-point bonus question at the end where the couple with the most points, win a prize and was that show's winner. BTW, it debut when Password fans were upset over the Vietnam War and a news conference by a White House official. That they flocked to the Newlywed Game on July 11th 1966. And the rest they say...is history!
