It is a performances centric movie

It is not deep, but it is fun to watch. It does have a bit more of an edge to it than other similar films.

It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.

Wow while I am writing this review I am having glimpses of this show in my mind....This was truly a rocking series right from the theme song till the end(Too bad they changed the theme song after the first season)...I still remember watching The Mask movie in my cousin's house & went completely crazy & again went to the movie with my Dad(Indian releases in theaters are late)& after that this series started...I used to come running from school to watch this show weekdays at 4 to watch it on Cartoon Network ....This show was damn funny. Many episodes are memorable to me.I wish they would release this on DVD...I will buy it with whatever money I have now(I am still studying)...Somebody Stop Meeeeeeeeeeeeeee...Smokinnnn

Considering the pile of crap that infests CN in the present, this series really stood out during the time it released (I'm talking about a really long time ago) and was quite innovative in many ways. It was honestly very good. It was quite surprisingly extremely funny using its own unique style of humor. No it is no where nearly as good as the movie itself, which is quite strange, although the movie itself would be something very difficult to live up to and match using animation. It did sometimes almost border on adult themes like the movie but is mostly kids stuff. Very very entertaining for its time although I don't know how viable it would be today as I have'nt really watched it years?

Definitely one of the best of 90's along with shows like The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest. The Mask was a cartoon of different domain, especially since it was a shoot off form the hilarious movie with the same title, starring Jim Carey.Almost all of the time, such projects never live up to expectations, but boy, this one proved to be such a different story!Enter a gem of a show, intelligent, funny and original. Superb voice characterization and animation. The daily trials and tribulation Stanley Ipkis in a modern industrial city is so life like, and his walk on the wile side as the Mask is something we all wish we could do.Some how this show will appeal more to adults than to children.A must see.

It tends to be normal these days to make an animated series based on a hit movie. Most of them suck, but like others, this one stands out. It had all the childish humor of the movie and something a lot of shows (particularly Saturday morning ones) these days do not have, intelligence. The show was simply a delight. It was interesting to see this show and that Ace Ventura cartoon have two cross overs. Very funny.
