ykant-51040 'Sacred Games' is worth all the hype it's got. It explores the girth of being a gangster and other topics in the vicinity. There are well thought of characters and their backstories. The era of the 90s has been expertly crafted with a wonderful split narration, switching cleverly between the flashbacks and the present. Cast could not be better. All have lived the characters. From a small character to the protagonist, all bind you with their very fine acting. Naming only a few will be an insult to others. Cinematography is absolute delight. From creating a very restricted frame in intense scenes to sweeping across screen in present and past, cinematography proves to be a cherry on the cake. Music is reminiscent of 90s. A retro fragrance lingers even after the episode ends. Though the tone of the show is very dark and violent, makers have not backed off from presenting things and events in pristine form. Direction is master class. Sacred Games, being the first ever Netflix original India proves worthy of all the appreciation it's getting. 10/10
