Keira Brennan The movie is made so realistic it has a lot of that WoW feeling at the right moments and never tooo over the top. the suspense is done so well and the emotion is felt. Very well put together with the music and all.

pumbobj I don't have paragraphs and paragraphs on and on to talk about rwby like the other reviewers but what i have to say is that everything but later volume 3 either sucks or is so average and mediocre that it actually hurts, also i kinda do not really have to say this as i already said it in the title but volume 4 and volume 5 have really painfully obvious and predictable twists to the point where i don't even see the point of watching any further. *Also sorry for my really bad grammar and stuff*

invisibleunicornninja This series is amazing, though I can see how the first few seasons can turn someone off. This started off as an experimental low-budget show. The animation at the beginning is terrible compared to what it looks like in the most recent series. What really drives this show is the story and the character development. Sure there are a lot of dumb moments and subplots (especially at the beginning) but once this show settled and figured out what it was trying to do it succeeded. Series 3-4 are when it the animation catches up making the entire experience fantastic. The music and fight scenes are also awesome. Basically, this show has its flaws and some of series 5 is getting stupid, but overall its awesome and I'd highly recommend it.

patboldt RWBY makes me sad. It didn't use to be this forgotten series like it is now and nowadays it seems to be a show that doesn't know where it's going or what it was in the first place. If you don't know what RWBY is that's normal. I don't know what RWBY is! And I don't pretend to think that it's some hidden jewel in the world of anime anymore. RWBY is the definition of a forgotten series. Before I rip into how this series fell from grace so hard, I'm gonna talk about the good stuff. Let's begin with RWBY Volumes 1-3.RWBY takes place in a world that's pretty much a mix between the Walking Dead and Harry Potter, and believe me when I tell you that this is not as insane as it sounds. The story is about a girl named Ruby who wants to become a huntress, but to do this she has to team up with her lovable sister Yang, the ice Princess Weiss, and the closed off rebel Blake. These characters are so much fun to see on screen and it's great to see them interact with one another since they have great chemistry. There are some side character's too but they don't really steal the show all that much and they don't take attention away from the protagonists and that's a good thing. The plot is pretty straightforward and it doesn't try to be larger than it is. The first three volumes have buildup and we learn about the world of Remnant in a way that moves the narrative forward. Then it has one of the best climaxes I've ever seen in an anime and there is plenty of emotion throughout this sequence. After Volume 3 ended, Volume 4 came out AKA: the beginning of the end. This volume has one problem, one flaw that kills the show. This is the problem that it has and it has made RWBY a forgotten series. The problem is the terrible..PACING! When I talk about pacing, I mean plot progression and the flow of entertainment. In the last three volumes, the pacing isn't that bad. It's pretty good. There is slow buildup between events and each volume seems to carry the story further and expand on the lore. In RWBY Volumes 4 and 5, the pacing becomes inexcusable. Action scenes don't feel natural, story elements are too heavily reliant on exposition, character arcs are too convuluted and the narrative just completely loses it's mind. The plot becomes boring when so many things are going on all at once to the point where the audience can't become invested. If the audience can't get into the story, the show falls apart. And you know how I talked about Side Characters not being the focus in the original three volumes. Where here, it's the total opposite! There's only like one side character who's sort of interesting and everyone else just falls flat and fails to warrant attention. The anime is hurt even more when it doesn't know how to handle so many characters within the narrative. Too many characters is a bad thing when we don't have enough time to care about them. People like me who were once big RWBY fans have kinda just turned our back on this series because of these issues. RWBY needs to get it's act together if it hopes to become an amazing series again. Until it does, it's going to remain a forgotten one.

Marlon A. Francis Out of all the animated series' I've watched, this is the best! When I first heard of the series, I had no idea what to expect. A few months or so later, I decided to check it out and did not regret it at all. The show is filled with characters who are defined so well, the writing is funny in the sense that literally anyone could enjoy it, and he complexity of all of the animation sequences are beautiful. The style of the show is also very impressive. Its amazing how it goes for a toon/hand-drawn look, and the fact that it was made in Poser was something that surprised me a lot! There's no doubt that the people who make this show possible are amazingly talented and creative, as they were able to make use of so many amazing tools and do stuff that you wouldn't see in most professional studios nowadays. After seeing all of the behind the scenes videos and interviews, you can't help but just appreciate how much hard work goes into this. And how you can create something great no matter what program you use.
