mraculeated The biggest problem with this movie is it’s a little better than you think it might be, which somehow makes it worse. As in, it takes itself a bit too seriously, which makes most of the movie feel kind of dull.

ayolapid Avatar: The Last Airbender is one of the best shows I've ever watched. More than just a show about a good guy fighting a bad guy, it shows how individual people struggle with and overcome pain, anger and suffering. The main characters in this show ask themselves the difficult questions about life, duty, honor, and their place in the universe. And to top it all off, they are children.While the themes of the show may be deep and profound, they are presented with a light and joyful humor that makes it suitable for both children, adults and everyone in between. The action scenes are pretty awesome too. Definitely worth every second.

cweyer-67805 If you have scrolled all the way down here, Id venture to guess you have seen all the reviews telling you to watch it; listen to the masses! While this show has a few flaws, particularly towards the end, it will never be outdone by another kids show, ever. I would say that this show is heaps better than most, and is undoubtedly the best kids show ever made. Please, just watch it, and when you are done, review it and give it 10 like it deserves. (Ohh, and skip "The Great Divide",)

Torrin-McFinn77 I'd heard so much about this show from various people and I decided to try it for myself. The first few episodes seemed OK, but after hearing so many people talk about how it got better, I stuck with it. And you know what? It was worth it!Memorable characters, a believable Asian-styled steampunk world, four elements, well-researched themes, and Miyazaki-styled creatures are all in here. If Disney wants to make its own action-adventure fantasy serial, I hope its writers and animators are paying attention. This puts all the other cartoons I've watched to shame. Oh, but don't worry, I still love Batman: The Animated Series, The Legend of Korra, The Lion Guard (which came later), Escaflowne, Road Rovers, and Godzilla: The Series. They're all good, but Avatar: The Last Airbender stands up at the front of the class.

matayocro I was five years old when the first episode of Avatar came out, and immediately it became my favorite show. For the next three years, I was hooked into the journey of Avatar Aang and his friends trying to end a hundred year war. It took me a few years to truly understand the messages behind the show, but once I did, I realized how important it is to show this to children. This series covers topics like immigration and refugees, war effects on civilian populations, child abuse and abandonment, genocide, environmental conservation, and many other philosophies that the rest of the world should be living by. It tells the stories of Aang, the last of his race who must come to terms with his loneliness and realize his purpose in life and bring peace to the world, and Zuko, the banished prince of the Fire Nation, who goes on an Odyssey to capture the Avatar and regain his honor. The two parties go on countless spiritual journeys and learn lessons about life, love, acceptance, and friendship. The series teaches the viewer to forge their own path in life, as well as lessons about your inner balance. This is the perfect kids show, watchable at any age. I'm eighteen, I watch shows like The Walking Dead and The Sopranos. I only really appreciate mature, deep shows. Avatar: The Last Airbender is one of the most mature shows to exist, and it just happens to me marketable to kids. Parents, look this show up. You might just enjoy it yourself. P.S. The fight scenes are pretty wicked.
