Holstra Boring, long, and too preachy.
Kailansorac Clever, believable, and super fun to watch. It totally has replay value.
Kodie Bird True to its essence, the characters remain on the same line and manage to entertain the viewer, each highlighting their own distinctive qualities or touches.
Phillipa Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.
Peter Cameron This show is a turd on a plate. They just took a turd on a plate and then brought us the plate and said here you go, have this turd on a plate.Like we sat down expecting to have a nice meal or at least something half okay but then instead of getting what we ordered they bring us this steaming turd on a plate. The chef just took a turd on a plate for us.The waiter brought it out without laughing and said with a serious face he thinks we might enjoy this turd on a plate. This is all we're going to get and we still have to pay for it but guess what, it is still just a turd on a plate.
mrquackers-138-78037 I have seen a few reviews from people who did not find this show very funny. All I can say is - I loved it! Certain characters had me wheezing for air (specifically, Doug) who seemed even funnier than in the original 2004 version. To me, the fact that there hasn't been any follow-up to this series' 8 episodes has immortalized it, much the same way that Fawlty Towers cannot be improved on or added to. Why would you want to? The 8 stand alone, unchallenged because I felt they were just that good. Maybe it's not at the same level as The Big Bang Theory, but it has that Indie feel, the same way The Guild does. Or try watching Summer Heights High. If you want a good laugh that doesn't require much commitment from you, then Pure Pwnage is The Best.
jasongibbonsxxx I really don't like this show, it seems like the people in this show and/or the people who created and produced/wrote it really think they are cool and clever but I don't like any of the writing in this show, the characters are so unreal it's just stupid and most important to me is that this comedy did not make me laugh even just one time. I know it is supposed to cater just to gamers and I am not a hard core gamer but I do game quite a bit with my friends and after work etc so it's not that I don't get the jokes or the characters, I just don't find the show funny or good at all. The girl in it is pretty good and I guess the lead guy is not a bad actor it is just that the characters and writing are no good at all.
chris_clogg I honestly thought this would fail... internet sensations are usually just funny and "epic" on the internet... but surprisingly Pure Pwnage (television show) had me laughing out loud on just the first viewing.Example: Jeremy and FPS_doug are at a job counselling office. The woman asks Jeremy where he sees himself in 10 years... his response (as I can remember): In a tube of liquid being fed and owning noobs, but he'd want his tube to be in Korea because they have the best internet connections. That's hilarious... and there's so many more moments that anyone with a bit of computer & gaming background will love. At a job interview he tunes out and imagines himself being a Counter-Strike player inside the office, trying to lead his interviewer as a hostage safely out, whilst fighting terrorists haha. There's some really good moments, too, that anyone can relate to. Jeremy sits in the long grocery-store lineup getting very fed up... what does he do? He angrily storms behind the counter, pushes the cashier aside, and begins scanning people through using his insanely fast "micro". Soon after he's approached for a job.The only issue I'd say is that they're forcing an emotional storyline; some dialogue was a bit long for the actors to deliver (most notably fps_doug who is usually quick and loud). Also, Kenny from Kenny vs Spenny makes an appearance.Altogether though, it's pretty good! I think this show is EXTREMELY unique: it's up to date with the computing/gaming/internet world... which is something to say about any television show (or movie even)...I hope this show is successful, I love it.
