AboveDeepBuggy Some things I liked some I did not.
Brightlyme i know i wasted 90 mins of my life.
Gutsycurene Fanciful, disturbing, and wildly original, it announces the arrival of a fresh, bold voice in American cinema.
Stephanie There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes
billrow As gas monkey evolved from skin of their teeth junk builds up to the big time SEMA show, Mattel and Earnhardt cars, Misfit, brings the view back to what made them like fast and loud to begin with. Low budget builds, lots of goofing off and likable characters.Misfit garage takes us back to why we started watching reality automotive repair shows to begin with.
jj-74775 I came to this show from Gas monkey Garage. I have found I don't really like Richard. With Thomas, Tom, & the gang, they all seem like people I'd like to hang out, & spend time with. If I wanted a car built, they'd be my go to guys. My only problem is when John goes off on someone else in the shop.
mijbril And that's just fine in my book. There is no way the premise of this show is anything but just some idea that Richard had to keep the glory of Fast n Loud on it's new market as the show moves into a higher bracket of car build, but still keep touch with that initial work that Gas Monkey started with but generally don't go near (or show at least) now.1. Thomas & Richard have known each other for years, if there is a car wheeler & dealer that Richard can trust to make good deals, it's Thomas (he wouldn't ask Dennis, he's already a millionaire & would just look for Holy Grail cars). 2. Tom & Jordan know their way around a car inside & out and Jordan always showed himself to be a conscientious employee on Fast n Loud putting in the long hours to bring a build home. 3. Tom was ridiculously popular with the viewers. How to utilize that? Give him his own show & let him shine. 3. Tom & Jordan (or Scott) don't have the bearded wonders hipster cred. 4. The format with Sue is exactly the same. 5. Richard is always coming around to see his "tenants", he does this because he's the puppetmaster pulling the strings. If you make comparisons with Fast n Loud & expecting the same, you're making a mistake & will be disappointed. If you're taking it as a spin-off / extension from Fast n Loud that's entertaining in its own right & does all those things that Gas Monkey used to do, you'll love Misfit Garage. The guys put their heart & soul into each build, Thomas brings the market nous & it seems to be working for them, plus they have the naivety of Soup Bone to keep you amused, he's the Fire Up Garage version of the shop cat.Very entertaining & recommended viewing.
Grnsteam I've just finished watching the second season of Misfit Garage and I find I want more. I'm hoping there is a third season in the making sometime soon. I love watching Fast N Loud but like another reviewer mentioned, it has become the "Richard" show. Less about cars and more about Richard. Thomas, Tom and Jordan are great. More like the old FnL, more about the cars and less about Richard, who does his Executive Producer cameos in many episodes. Scott (well, what can I say?), I didn't really miss when he spat his dummy and left. I get the feeling that the big "split" between Tom, Jordan and Richard was all for the show. They still seem to be very friendly on screen. If there was a real split resulting in Tom and Jordan being sacked, I couldn't see Richard having the relationship he has with them. Was it a case of, "Let's do a spin-off, I'll sack you guys, you start a new show in competition to FnL and we'll make more television". I loved Little Richard, definitely a star in the show.
