    Maidgethma Wonderfully offbeat film!
    Pacionsbo Absolutely Fantastic
Ariella Broughton It is neither dumb nor smart enough to be fun, and spends way too much time with its boring human characters.
Cassandra Story: It's very simple but honestly that is fine.
mweratcliffe I know - I know - I'm watching this thing but only because I had to stop watching all dark dramas about serial or other killers who do disgusting things to women. This is a well acted but god awfully written series about Merlin who is described in the series as "the most powerful sorcerer ever" - however he has a very limited knowledge of magic - uses only a small set of his magic tricks and always stands around watching terrible things happen around him to those he cares most about without ever using magic until the last moment when often the damage he could have stopped has already been done. More often than not he himself creates the conflict by exercising not wisdom but rather poor judgment and not heeding his truest advisors. I know it's just a show and I know the characters can't be other than how they are written but what a load of terrible writing. I'm at the end of season 4 and Merlin's character is still written to have him be as dumb inexperienced inept undecided and incompetent as he was in season one. This is just a very badly written show which might have had a longer run if those in charge had actually followed the same character development arks found in Smallville the show that apparently inspired Merlin. Apparently they got off track along the way and opted for cheap writing that show after show repeats the formula of Arthur in trouble because of dark magical forces set against him and Merlin stumbling in to save the day with some accidental magical solution at the very last possible second. Very poorly written. God Awful.
the_mora_family OMG what a fun show to watch. Yes there is drama to it, and of course a lot of evilest as well (which is what makes it interesting) Collin Morgan is phenomenal in his performance. He is a dorky, caring Warlock Fun to watch. I find myself giggling often and is because you never know when Merlín or Arthur will come up with something intensively dome that will crack you up. I read all the reviews most of the time but I also disagree with many and is just because we all have our own opinion, likes and dislikes. I have to watch to form my own opinion, so I ask that you do the same. If you want to have smile on your face ea episode of a Merlín will give you that. Happy watching!
cecilyeb Oh Merlin. Four years since I finished my last re-watch and you're still breaking my heart. You are quite terrible in many ways, with some of the cheesiest special effects I've ever seen on television, and some of the cheesiest writing as well, but your story captured my imagination like no Game of Thrones has done. The friendship/romance between Merlin and Arthur is almost unbearably lovely and the characters of Guinevere and the knights still haven't left my heart. There were moments of absolute brilliance in this little family show elevated by beautiful acting that still resonate and stay with me after all these years. I would go through it all again.
Kirpianuscus a seductive series. this is its basic virtue and the motif for who it is not a bad idea to see it. because it preserves the Medieval atmosphere, the traits of the well known characters but it has the courage and the science to be provocative, nice, dark and amusing, this kind of impeccable adaptation of a familiar universe giving to it new splendid nuances and details. it is a series about friendship and about different forms of magic, about trust and challenges, about beauty and about courage, about a form of delicate and precise definition of the meanings of life in the best manner. so, a charming series. good acting. and great story. enough for create dependence.
