swbird I often wonder how much 'professional' critics get paid as Schumer seems to have a few too many positive reviews. I can understand some liking her, we are all different, but the media coverage and the sheer number of positive coverage seems somewhat odd.Shocking and puerile seems to be her go-to with the same 'joke' repeated again and again (and again). Difficult to understand why she has had the leg up from the media to such an extent.Garbage and a real step back to some of the great female comediennes. I guess between Schumer and McCarthy the future of female comedienne role models is down the toilet.

pennylane1989 I think Amy Shumer is a great comedian! Her timing is epic, which, I hate to say, is rare for female comics. She makes jokes about regular things American women do and talk about. No, she's not making seriously baffling, educated, pedantic comedic references to ancient civilizations or peace treaties in Libya, she's not Eddie Izzard or anything, but who cares? Her humor is hilarious and relatable! My husband finds her hysterical as well, and he's harder to impress than most people when it comes to stand up. Also, what she looks like really has nothing to do with how funny she is or how good her writing is. The skits in this show are pretty on point and she even makes fun of herself in most of them but in a light hearted, filled with confidence kind of way. Besides, she's an attractive woman, and no one ever talks about what an ugly man Louis C.K. is, even though he is completely hideous. Amazing show with a really talented comedic actress! Love Amy Shumer!

kdbp1213 off and on over the last 2 seasons and season 3's premiere, I've watched Schumer's show. it's a lot like the daily show, McFarlane's family guy and NPR's wait wait don't tell me and what-do-you-know. I understand the moment of humor, the punchline, but I don't laugh. I get Schumer's vulgarity, profanity, attempt to shock, and feminism. she's gotta sell a show to comedy central.I laugh at modern family, sirens, Schitt's creek, British office, parks and recreation, Seinfeld, letterman, mike & molly, big bang theory, the Goldbergs, 30-rock, and Frasier.
