    TrueJoshNight Truly Dreadful Film
Steinesongo Too many fans seem to be blown away
    Micransix Crappy film
Ella-May O'Brien Each character in this movie — down to the smallest one — is an individual rather than a type, prone to spontaneous changes of mood and sometimes amusing outbursts of pettiness or ill humor.
rkelliott-653-550617 Sarah Lancashire is truly the most incredible actress and this role is a tour de force. Just brilliant television all round. As a Brit I actually feel really proud that we can make television of this quality. The setting and characters are so authentic and realistic. Highly recommended.
tlwhitecdn This is a very complex police show and I enjoy the characters and story lines, personal and business problems.
johnwebb-58422 Happy Valley is a big Hit in Australia, we don't like crap American TV. Sassy Sarah deserves an acting award for her gritty, strong, emotional and admiral copper. Wonderful, gripping, edge of the seat story line, this lady should be in "Line of Duty", best copper series by far, cheers.
ac68 I just finished the first season and was completely blown away by this show. The show goes to some incredibly dark places, but it is grounded by the fact that the whole story unfolds in one small Yorkshire town. That setting also raises the stakes, because the viewer knows that sooner or later characters are going to come into contact with one another. It makes all of the dark moments so much more darker, as they're taking place in a quiet, scenic village. The acting and writing is incredible, and adds depth to all the characters. I would compare it to Breaking Bad, not in subject matter, but in the feeling of dread and inevitability. If you're in the mood for something incredibly tense, I highly recommend this show.
