    GazerRise Fantastic!
Beystiman It's fun, it's light, [but] it has a hard time when its tries to get heavy.
ChampDavSlim The acting is good, and the firecracker script has some excellent ideas.
AshUnow This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
Tj Boardway I'll start by saying I didn't expect to like this "yet another attempt at reworking the wizard of Oz " Well.... I was way off!! It was beautifully done. Vincent D'Onofrio was awesome playing the mousy wizard. I didn't even realize it was him until the second episode. So I just learned that it didn't get picked up for a second season after leaving us with such a cliffhanger at the end of the first season.very disappointing. With luck Netflix will pick it up. If not it's just a beautiful piece of Cinema that will have to remember all on its own..
Konstanzia hauntingly beautiful dark fantasy doesn't exactly imitate the original plot, which makes the guessing game more exciting - you keep guessing who is who in relation to the well known story. Stunning set design and costumes. Great acting. Deep exploration of human nature. The innocent choices characters make - all justified, we feel for everybody - leading to tragic consequences. Have to admit that intro part was dragging a bit, but each next episode was better than the one before. I was glued to the screen and finished it in one night... well... two nights - i discovered the show after episode 9 was released, so had to wait for the last one.
Alondro The only reason this is even linked with "The Wizard of Oz" is to drag in suckers for nostalgia and emo kids who love 'dark' takes on everything. This has so little to do with Oz that if Baum were still alive he'd sue for the bastardization of his beloved world.Everyone is horrible in some way. It's as if this is a world composed of only the worst people possible. I fully agree with others who find this repugnant: I would gladly nuke them all just to erase them from existence, as they have no reason to exist other than to be miserable to everyone around them. This is a world of Oz as written by a manic depressive drug addict.
Tcarts76 This show had all the promise of a good show, but ends up being nothing but cheap hype. The acting is so-so at best but you would think Vincent D'onofrio would be able to pull a decent performance, but no, it's crap. Ana Ularu as "West" probably has probably the only decent performance. The lead, Dorothy is played by Adria Arjona, who is a beautiful girl, and I'm sure may be able to act, but this is just a stepping stone to minor movie roles at best. Not her fault, she doesn't have much to work with. The look and feel is bad. I kind of got the gist that it would be, but thought MAYBE they would exceed my expectations, but no.The sets are cheap looking, the effects bad, and the script, just blah.If you want to pull off something like a fantasy, worthy of Oz, go big or go home. In an era of great fantasy like Game of Thrones, you just can't do this. I don't know why anyone rates this garbage at a 7+ at the time of this review, but maybe they like stage acting. This feels like it's just on a stage, and any minute you think you are going to see a stage hand walk onto the screen by accident.I think plays on a stage are great, but if your going to make a play, with sets for a play, keep it on the stage. Disappointing.
