A brilliant film that helped define a genre

The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.

Some of you if you are Bible haters or Christ haters will hate this. The Bible clearly shows that the continents were connected until about 4500 years ago! It also states that men built cities close to 6000 years ago. Much recent archaeology uncovers observable evidence of mankind at that time building things that even today would be very difficult to build- and these on every continent! this flies in the face of "evolution". Secular "scientists" say that only "ancient aliens" could be the source of this observable evidence. Sadly much of so called "scientific evidence" is only (as the Bible says) "false scientific evidence" or "false knowledge"--because it is based on many layers of assumptions, imaginings, falsehoods etc.---rather than on observable evidence. The global "flood" with massive volcanic activity and the foundations of the earth being shaken wiped out and/or covered the civilizations that had been!!

The program I watched was about Aztec Pyramids in Rock Lake near Lake Mills, WI. I watched as they took mini one mini sub into the lake to find these supposed pyramids. Since these are supposed to be large, a quick sonar scan of the lake would have located any large structures. Instead they show a 2 minute clip of a mini-sub going thru algae on the, bottom of the lake. Then his crew yelling at him to come up. As if this was planned to add drama. Then throughout the show they keep showing a set of fishermen that were the ones sitting on top of a rock formation and hitting it with a paddle. Speculation and rumor seems to be all about producing a almost believable tale but falling just short of true evidence, and never following through on anything in order to leave the viewer hanging out to dry. If the History Chanel wants to be about real History, then put real shows on. Shows about Ghosts, Aliens, and snipes? Really? Common if kids watch this stuff they will start believing it's actually true, and will have a distortion of true history. Put real History on not a "coast to coast" type "conspiracy theory" sideshow.

I really enjoy this show. It may not be real history but it is closer than many other History Channel programs and since lineups are dictated by ratings we can blame ourselves for that. Even the haters are obviously viewers as well. What if we watch it for what I think the producers intended, entertainment?I have lived in lots of small towns and rural areas around the eastern parts of the USA and have learned that every community has it's very own interesting history and past full of exciting events. Within so many of those histories lies a layer or section that has questionable conclusions, or parts that have not achieved consensus even after decades. This show has been a wonderful venue for people to learn about interesting legends, histories, and mysteries of places they may never have been to or even heard of otherwise.I don't believe I have ever heard the show's host claim that he has presented evidence proving anything one way or another. I have heard him say that either the presence or lack of some specific evidence warrants asking more questions or pursuing further investigations. He does that while also telling a story or legend many of us know something about while many more of us may never have had the opportunity to ever know about. Finally, I think we must all honestly admit, even if the program or it's host does have an agenda, it is far more innocent than the manipulative agenda most of America's 24hr news agencies practice. So why are so many being so hostile about a small time cable TV show?

Every episode I watched came to nothing. Absolutely nothing! The last episode on Montezuma's gold was ridiculous and a great example. He looked at caves above ground and below water that have been known about for years. Then when he can't drill because the owner of the land is "Afraid of the curse" he goes diving. The so called cave is filled with sand, so they make a half hearted attempt at dredging it, then give up because they are cold. Ridiculous waste of time for him and us. Why is this kind of show aloud on TV? What is it's purpose? If History Channel want to make science fiction or adventure shows? At least state that's what the shows are and make them better. At least with Ancient Aliens in my opinion you are entertained enough that the lies are bearable.
