Reviews
Taraparain Tells a fascinating and unsettling true story, and does so well, without pretending to have all the answers.
PiraBit if their story seems completely bonkers, almost like a feverish work of fiction, you ain't heard nothing yet.
BelSports This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.
Brendon Jones It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.
Horst in Translation (filmreviews@web.de) This short film from almost 15 years ago is not known to too many, but it was the basis for the two successful television series with the same name, the more recent one starring Elijah Wood from "The Lord of the Rings". "Wilfred" is an Australian 7-minute film directed by Tony Rogers and written by Jason Gann and Adam Zwar. These two also play the main characters in this little tale. I personally found it a bit disappointing overall. Yes there were one or two fine moments in terms of the contents and dialogs, but even for such a short film, it simply was not enough. I will probably check out the series at some point, but I cannot say this movie here got me curious about it. Not really worth watching. Thumbs down.
