Reviews
Ketrivie It isn't all that great, actually. Really cheesy and very predicable of how certain scenes are gonna turn play out. However, I guess that's the charm of it all, because I would consider this one of my guilty pleasures.
Hulkeasexo it is the rare 'crazy' movie that actually has something to say.
Usamah Harvey The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.
Deanna There are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.
honeybains007 Movie is so predictable. Maybee its due to moderate editing. Overall concept & script was awesome. Dialogues are good too. Far better then most of Bollywood Movies .All movie is just rolling around 4 or 5 persons most of the time. As usual romance in Bollywood always so bad. , they are just looking at each other all the movie till the end,and background music make it worst.
patelpawan In this movie Amitabh Bachchan portraits the role of pandit ji who is a chess master and Farhan Akhtar portraits the role of Daanish Ali who is a police officer. In the very beginning of the movie daughter of Daanish killed by some terrorists and same kind of thing happened with daughter of Pandit ji. Overall story of the movie is quite short, simple. The overall movie is full of love and emotions and reflects the true meaning of promise. The sound and picture quality is quite good. Both the actors does good acting and played their role effectively. After watching this movie I learned the real meaning of chess and I would say that life is like a game of chess, from very beginning to the end. I liked this movie very much because its story is quite different from other Bollywood movies and I feel that this move may help the people to realize the power of friendship, love and promise. I would suggest that people should watch this movie with friends and family and most importantly watch is fully and consciously otherwise you may lose the real symbolism of chess.
Filmaholic_Khan I had a high expectation from Bejoy Nambiar's Wazir and its safe to say that I am a satisfied customer. Good thing about the story is the out of the box thinking and the cruelty of real world political leaders. The stage play in the end, described the Omkarnath Special pretty well like any other good Mystery movie. However, the screenplay could have been better. The movie dragged the separation segment of Danish and Rohana a bit too much which gave the Bollywoodish look and missed some crucial parts on the main story. For example defining a little much more on how Omkarnath faked the caller ID and other things like that. The repetitions of "Khel Khel" and some dialogues were also annoying. The action in the movie was a bit more than required. But overall, the movie is worth watching and the acting from both Farhan and Amit Sir will touch your heart. If you are a mystery movie fan, then its a must watch.
Nikhil Kamra ***minor plot points revealed, so spoilers ahead***Wazir is a story of two characters, who suffer at the hands of corruption, terrorism, and all the darkness there is in this mean world. Oppressed by the unjustness of life itself, after losing their daughters, they enter each other's life.Amitabh Bacchan plays the role of a handicapped person who lost his daughter under mysterious circumstances (including the possibility of murder). After Faran Akhtar loses his daughter, he is provided with some respite in Amitabh's company. What starts as chess lessons, develops into a great bond of friendship between the two. Big revelations follow and loads of thrills and drama is delivered as they try to avenge their daughters. Faran Akhtar tries to get back at the people responsible for both the deaths and also tries to get his old happy life back; all the while endangering the life of Amitabh and his own as well. This makes them enter the world of corruption and darkness that they didn't even know existed. In my honest opinion, the best thing about this movie is the choice of its duration. Nothing more, nothing less. Not a single scene felt rushed, or forced. Even the slow-motion scenes that usually get on my nerves were nicely executed and carefully delivered. The story, despite being minutely predictable is great and the actors.. Well I don't need to say it, do I? If you're even remotely familiar with Bollywood, then you know that the cast includes some fine members of the same. Although I didn't expect the usual amount of songs from this movie considering its duration, I didn't mind them. A worth watching flick. If this is the direction Indian cinema is headed into, I'm proud. :)
