1943. In a small village, Amerigo, due to his crippled leg, is the only man who hasn’t gone to war. He lives with his wife, Ida, and their daughter, Annetta, who is very sick and in urgent need of a medic.

How wonderful it is to see this fine actress carry a film and carry it so beautifully.

The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one
