Reviews
BootDigest Such a frustrating disappointment
Acensbart Excellent but underrated film
Dotbankey A lot of fun.
Rosie Searle It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
deabalo I thought this collection of comedians was great. It reminded a lot of what Latinos actually talk about when they get together (I know my family does). Cheech was great as a host and the rest of the cast was hilarious but you must understand Spanish to understand some of the jokes. **SPOILERS**Although funny what I didn't like about it was the vulgarity of some of the jokes. You can have very funny clean jokes, George Lopez was a little more less vulgar. I really recommend the American Latinos to watch this. It will have you peeing on your seat of laughter.
Luis_ct A lot of "inside" jokes, that anyone who isn't hispanic and speaks fluent Spanish won't understand. But If you are a latino like me, te vas a cagar de la risa all through the show. Specially with George Lopez's jokes, that are not only funny, but also provides intelligent remarks on the hispanic culture, on our customs and way of life that make you relate to everything he says. From how we say hello to each other, to the way our people have become integrated into almost every aspect and place in the USA. I give this show 9/10 because I didn't particularly enjoy as much as I enjoyed Lopez's act the other comedians, although they all made me laugh.
killbots_182 I saw that film here in Argentina. I'm Argentinian so I speak Spanish and I didn't have any problem watching that DVD but sometimes I have the same problem with the American movies. I speak English but the most of times they didn't translate the signs or jokes written in the wall, you know, that kind of things.Anyway, that show was great!!! Of course I enjoyed the DVD a lot, because I could understand the things that they said in Spanish, but I think that sometimes if you translate that sort of jokes they wouldn't be funny. The cast is excellent and that was the best stand up show that I've ever seen. It's just a great show! I hope you enjoy that!
trilly_ This DVD is hilarious, of course, because all of the featured comics are hilarious. However...if you don't speak Spanish, beware that you are actually going to miss about half of the jokes. We tried to turn on the English subtitles, so that we could get the entire experience, and the DVD doesn't translate the Spanish jokes into English on the subtitles!!! That was a bit frustrating! We were disappointed that there was so much of a language barrier when we are more than willing to support the Latin Kings just as we have enjoyed many other comics who have come out with DVDs/videos. I think the DVD would definitely have been better if we could have enjoyed all of the jokes.
