Reviews
Matcollis This Movie Can Only Be Described With One Word.
Inadvands Boring, over-political, tech fuzed mess
Bergorks If you like to be scared, if you like to laugh, and if you like to learn a thing or two at the movies, this absolutely cannot be missed.
Seraherrera The movie is wonderful and true, an act of love in all its contradictions and complexity
Mihai Toma The useless son of a recently deceased newspaper owner pairs up with an ingenious and inventive mechanic to form a superhero gang. Disguised as The Green Hornet, he and his sidekick roam the streets of the city fighting crime in their own way thus attracting a lot of attention, especially from the leader of the bad guys.Although it seemed interesting, it soon became a disaster thanks to the main character who doesn't do anything good in this movie but to spoil it. It's a parody from the beginning so expect quite a lot of funny moments but unfortunately that's about it. Too little drama, too little romance, too little everything...except lots and lots of fighting and stupid decisions. I did enjoy though Christoph Waltz's acting, he and a bit from Cameron Diaz, but wasn't enough to do something about the movie.
OllieSuave-007 This is a below average superhero movie where Seth Rogan and Jay Chou star in the movie update to the classic TV series starring Van Williams and Bruce Lee as the masked crime fighting team.As with any superhero movie, there are plenty of fight scenes and alter-ego suspense. The special effects were quite good and the story is average, nothing too exciting or impressing about it. Jay Chou made a pretty good Kato with his serious and die hard attitude and his skillful martial arts moves. Seth Rogan made an awful Green Hornet - obnoxious, loud, annoying and unsympathetic. His gruff, raspy and incredibly irritating voice made me glad that Kato delivered him several good punches. Cameron Diaz looked like she was thrown in for good measure. When you end up rooting against the lead superhero, there's really not much enjoyment in this movie.Grade D-
MyraMovies Before watching this movie, I was completely unfamiliar with anything Green Hornet. I'd heard nothing good about the movie so I wasn't planning on watching it, but I found myself looking for something that might be entertaining without expectations. With expectations thus low, I enjoyed the Green Hornet. I thought it was childish and ridiculous, yet that was the way it was supposed to be, as everything was a joke. This is probably frustrating for any fans of old Green Hornet. The two main characters who end up together through a rather funny tirade on coffee don't automatically get along, instead are arguing and fighting the whole way through. It's irritating in that I don't find it entertaining to watch people being stupid, however, from the beginning you know the main character is an irresponsible immature guy who does whatever he feels like, and the sidekick is a genius used to doing whatever he wants because he can, so without trying to defend their characters, I just found it honestly funny. I liked Cameron Diaz as the no-nonsense secretary. The villain was highly entertaining. The fight scenes were mostly ridiculous but pretty fun anyway, and there was too much car-chase but then again the car was cool. With a tongue-in-cheek attitude all the way through, the movie delivered the entertainment I'd wanted without the sloppiness I'd expected.
Jordache Wee The Green Hornet is not something what I expected it to be. It's like having Will Ferell and Mark Wahlberg together in The Other Guys.Seth Rogen as born loser and son inherited all his father's wealth and the newspaper agency turn Green Hornet along with his chauffeur Kato (pronounce as Cay-toe). Adventures into the crime scene. Portraying both good and bad roles. Two guys chasing after a newly hired secretary (Cameron Diaz) in the newspaper agency.Jay Chou has indeed improve his English but his fight scenes are heavily CGi all the way which would reminds you of Jet Li's The One.It's totally like some mixed game and The One in it. Poor storyline.Kevin Smith is best to write the script instead. Read the comic books is better than watching this.Bruce Lee is still the best!!
