Reviews
XoWizIama Excellent adaptation.
Bea Swanson This film is so real. It treats its characters with so much care and sensitivity.
Isbel A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.
Cheryl A clunky actioner with a handful of cool moments.
dnaliew-1 This movie was scary and dark and definitely not for kids. Im 30 and I was disturbed by it. Wouldn't let my 3 year old finish watching it. I was allowed to watch Watership down and Dot and the Kangaroo as a toddler and still remember these movies with a shiver. Im sure they aren't that bad to watch now but as a kid they were pretty scary. Kids need colorful characters and laughs, not man eating plants, muck that kills and tough guy hooligan characters that threaten to eat grasshoppers. This movie is rated PG here in Australia and I thought it would be OK. I let my son watch Spiderman and Transformers both of which are rated M. This movie was way worse than a PG. The content was definitely not appropriate for young kids. Horrible animation, horrible characters....just plain horrible.
fdrucker This movie is definitely made for kids. The songs are cute and the rap song is very catchy. There is not a lot of Easter movies out there and this one has a feel good story that doesn't need any censoring. It's not religious and is a story more about personal courage. The characters have texturing on them that is unusual for an animated film. Brooke Shields does a good job and sings a little. Joey Pants does a great job as a villain. The whole movie has a very Eastern European look to it which is a refreshing change of pace. The pets in the film steal every scene they're in. I have kids and they have watched the movie many times. If you have a child under 3 one scene is a little scary in the swamp. Overall the movie was very good and a nice diversion from the new films coming out that are starting to all look the same.
andy14_uk This surely must rate as one of the best animated features I have seen. Its got the lot, good story, excellent cast, great songs, and a running time to satisfy the most ardent collector of children's and family entertainment on DVD, and above all a shear joy to watch. I wholeheartedly recommend this animated classic. The story is pretty well straightforward and concerns the inhabitants of Egg Town an idyllic village where neighbouring chickens and rabbits live together in harmony. However beyond the borders of this humble burg, lurk the mysterious and thieving "Take Its" who conspire to steal Egg Town's Easter eggs and it's fun loving spirit...much better for kids than a chocolate Easter egg
Comeuppance Reviews I can see why "Easter Egg Adventure" didn't make it to theaters. I think it's the very poorly done animation. It looks unfinished and sloppy. "Lil' Pimp" looks better than this. The story is OK through. The voice cast is mediocre. James Woods does not have a big role in this. Joe Pantoliano does a decent job as Timmy. Brooke Shields and Gary Littman are very annoying as Ms. Hare and Gracious Grasshopper. The writing mostly consists of play on words for Rabbits and Chickens. The songs are also pretty weak too. The only saving grace in this mess are the funny close ups of the characters. Definitely for little kids only. For more insanity, please visit: comeuppancereviews.com
