The Adventures of Chris Fable Trailers

(Long Synopsis) "This action-packed, fantasy-fueled family adventure – inspired by the revered literary Christian classic, The Pilgrim’s Progress – overflows with outrageous characters, special effects … and a moral message. In The Wylds, young Chris (Solomon Ray) is a runaway living with a group of other misfit kids in a junkyard, all under the watchful eye of a Dickens-esque character who forces them to steal to survive. When Chris is caught pilfering at a church, the pastor protects him from the police, then challenges him to find his estranged father. Chris bravely chooses to leave his family of thieves and ventures into the wilderness in search of a better life. Traveling through a post-apocalyptic future – his only hope lies in reaching a heavenly paradise that will surpass his wildest dreams – he outwits bandits, escapes swamp monsters, battles evil robots and learns valuable life lessons about choosing the right path."

Reviews
Diagonaldi Very well executed
Fluentiama Perfect cast and a good story
Stoutor It's not great by any means, but it's a pretty good movie that didn't leave me filled with regret for investing time in it.
WillSushyMedia This movie was so-so. It had it's moments, but wasn't the greatest.
alexchloe-253-701510 Terrible effects. Terrible acting. Terrible film. It's basically about an orphan who goes to another world where there's a Prince (who's about as sinister as a bean and a world where there's robots which look like cardboard boxes. My family found this fantasy more of a comedy. We spent most of the time laughing at the special effects and the acting, both terrible. The climax too wasn't great. the Box said something like 'Great special effects' yet Electric city looked awful. DO NOT SEE THIS FILM. The best part of it was I am afraid definitely the end. In a nut shell it was a fantasy brimming with a clear low budget and do not put the DVD in your DVD player, put it in your bin.
lisa edwards Such a poor quality film. Purchased from Tescos today for £3.00 on the bargain DVD's. Was excited to take home as the cover claims 'boy lost in a magical land', action packed family adventure film filled with outrageous characters' and compares movie to 'The Chronicles of Narnia', so thought we were all in for a hidden treat. The majority of the cast are Unknown, but thought hey everyone needs to start somewhere and to be given a chance. Mere moments into the movie and you find that the DVD Box cover is the best part of the movie. Special effects totally laughable, well cry-able as its so awful you are left in total dismay, swamp monster, lava, robot, location!!!! by any stretch of the imagination is not 'breath taking'. Poor casting, dire editing and a very weak storyline. Feel terrible for giving such a poor review to a film - but the cover on the box is a total fabrication and has no comparison to 'The Chronicles of Narnia' and is so misleading (Note:Trading standards???). Advice to you all never judge a book sorry DVD by its cover, check IMDb first before wasting your money. 'The Adventures of Chris Fable - time to believe' a movie best avoided, and has been added to my WWFE list(World's Worst Films Ever).
mikou_3 Wow.... is all i gotta say. Look at all those positive reviews and the fact that its the only review most of the users have ever made. All the visual effects and scenery are breathtaking?? First thing that comes to mind is substance abuse when i read that other review. Never in my life have i seen a more poorly constructed movie. Its as if they just had a couple extra cameras lying about and some tall guy started juggling them and decided to make a movie out of the footage from it. This movie is beyond terrible, It seems to just defy words. How anyone could write that first review without breaking into laughter or wetting themselves (which i'm sure the publisher did on release) is beyond me. Since the advent of affordable hd camera equipment we seem to be getting a never ending barrage of crappy independent movies. This needs to stop and it needs to stop now before more people are hurt.
jo-121-501936 I didn't pay a huge amount for this DVD but still think I was ripped off. Yes, I grant that trying to make a modern film version of the Pilgrim's Progress, which after all is over 400 years old, was never going to be easy. However, sadly the message that should have been conveyed was beaten into submission by the truly appalling acting. And as for the "breathtaking" special effects - no one in my family saw any. On the plus side, I went to sleep for about 40 minutes in the middle of the film, thereby wasting less time than the rest of my family. My 6 year old didn't mind it too much, but my 11 year old said it was rubbish. Don't waste your time.
