Pretty good movie overall. First half was nothing special but it got better as it went along.

How wonderful it is to see this fine actress carry a film and carry it so beautifully.
Portia Hilton
Blistering performances.

It's a good bad... and worth a popcorn matinée. While it's easy to lament what could have been...

Half the reviews were good so i took a chance for $10. Sure Priscilla Barnes had some sex talk but it wasn't much. The whole plot later that she may be the other actress mother & the documentary maker falling for the young woman is stretching it. Its not funny its not that raunchy its not much of anything but a waste of time. Boogie Nights was based on real people that were in the adult industry this is based on nothing that ever happened in the industry. It could have shocked with whats popular today in adult films mocking todays gonzo videos and that big orgy that they had 5 minutes to shoot what a joke a bigger orgy has been done bigger & better decades ago in the early 1970s.

Spinal Tap was funny because if you knew a little about heavy metal, you saw in-jokes all over the place. If you know anything about porn, this mock documentary will leave you cold. Everything in it rings false.Spinal Tap was funny because it took a familiar world and pushed it over the top. This film is decidedly not funny because it paints a picture of how porn is made that bears no relationship to the real world. The acting here is uniformly awful, but that would not matter much if the core idea of the movie were good. But it's not.

I bet this is going to be a cult classic someday. I swear as long as I live I'll always remember Adrian Zmed with his 42 penis! I went with a bunch of friends and everyone loved it--except for a couple that hated it. The humor does get a little raunchy, but nothing more than I've seen on Sex and the City. I was totally surprised when I saw a few people walk out in the middle of the movie, since I thought it was hysterical. Everyone else was laughing so much I know I missed some of the jokes. This is one of those movies you can tell everyone was having fun just making it. The plot about a group of porn actors and their director making a last movie together doesn't really matter. It's all the funny interactions between the people that makes the movie so good. By the end you really care about these odd, quirky people.

I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. My boyfriend picked it out, and I thought it was going to be an American Pie type raunchy comedy. But it's a lot more than that. Yeah, there's nudity and sex and penis jokes, but there's also a serious story, clever plot twists, and some really intelligent humor. You'd never know from the poster, but there's even a social message about the roles of sex and violence in our culture. I especially liked how women are portrayed as strong and smart. And I loved all the Terminator references! The writer is obviously a big sci-fi fan. (Terminator is one of my all-time favorite movies-- yeah, I know, pretty unusual for a chick!) Mostly though its just a fun comedy with a lot of laugh out loud jokes. I read the first review posted here, and it's right-- you need to like Kevin Smith/SouthPark kind of humor. If you can't laugh at porn, sex and a three and half foot penis, you probably won't like this film. Oh, one more thing... Adrian Zmed looks hot!! I never knew he was so well endowed!
