Reviews
Taraparain Tells a fascinating and unsettling true story, and does so well, without pretending to have all the answers.
Dirtylogy It's funny, it's tense, it features two great performances from two actors and the director expertly creates a web of odd tension where you actually don't know what is happening for the majority of the run time.
Edwin The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.
Geraldine The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.
Michael_Elliott Poker at Dawson City (1899) This Edison film was directed by James H. White and appears to have been a staged production instead of actual footage from Dawson City. It clocks in just over twenty seconds and we see a group of men basically spilling drinks on themselves. Apparently this was the aftermath of some sort of issue that came up in a card game. There's certainly nothing ground-breaking that you're going to witness here and there's certainly no plot. Fans of these early movies will at least get a kick out of the "action" going on. The cinematography is quite good though.
