PimpinAinttEasy Dear Sreenivasan,It must have been hard to try and top Nadodikattu. But you almost pulled it off. Pattana Pravesham had its share of ingenious gags and comedic set pieces, some of which measured up to the ones in Nadodikattu. So good job, Sreeni. Once again, you and Mohanlal were supported by a very able cast featuring Karamana, Philomena, Nedumudi, KPAC and NL Balakrishnan. The part where you and Thilakan (as MN Nambiar) are on a cycle wearing wigs is one of the best comedy scenes in the history of Malayalam cinema. As a small kid, I attended the shooting of Pattana Pravesham at Ambala Mugal. I personally witnessed the filming of the final scene where you and Mohanlal drive away in a Benz. I even got myself photographed with Mohanlal. But I seem to have lost that photograph. Like so many other things in my life. It is sad. But watching Pattana Pravesham always cheers me up. Jay C Vijayan and Dasan aka Srini and Mohanlal with their brilliant comic timings and natural acting styles makes this movie a befitting laugh riot sequel to the original - Nadodikattu, with the same pair. The pair have proved again that Malayalam Cinema produces one of the best and clean comedy in the country. They both have acted in many malayalam movies leaving their own individual mark, which will stay for many decades.In the movie both returns to Kerala as investigating officers and the hilarious events that leads them to solve the cases. The best character I liked was that of the Birdwatcher. He was really cool. The scene in the restaurant is the best.
