Reviews
Matcollis This Movie Can Only Be Described With One Word.
Matialth Good concept, poorly executed.
WillSushyMedia This movie was so-so. It had it's moments, but wasn't the greatest.
Lidia Draper Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.
Rachel Basett I wound up seeing this movie randomly. My friend was given some free tickets and asked me if I'd join her. The trailer looked fun and it was free, so why not? I wasn't sure what to make of it while I watched, but by the time it was over we where both glad we went. In short it's a bunch of rich new yorkers who are running out of money so instead of their regular Aspen holiday they go to pennsylvania to play a murder mystery game over Christmas weekend. The game is disco themed and Kay, the lady who owns the bed and breakfast, runs the game.So they're playing the game and Ted starts bugging everyone about giving him money for his caviar restaurant. He then tries to sleep with Kay, but she turns him down because she's a born again Christian. The next day a mute homeless guy shows up, then Ted gets extremely drunk and talks about God which leads to a big fight where everyone storms off. Obviously there's more then that, but it gets gets real confusing real fast if I tried to explain. In case anyone sees the film I won't divulge what happens on the last day, but when they finally leave I wasn't quite ready for it to end.So now it's a month after we saw it and it still pops into my head now and again. Ted playing the piano, Maya's evil step-mother outfit, Tutti keeping it real, Bea looking like a fancy bird, "Mac Donalds", "Yes we did see the black dolls". I'd like to see it again so hopefully it shows up on itunes sooner than later.ps - while tootling around I went on Alexandra Stewart's page (she plays Maya Dawn Lewis in the film). I never heard of her before, but my word she's been acting forever. I can only hope I'm doing something as interesting when I'm her age.
