Love and Distrust Trailers

This collection of five short films artfully portrays desire's ability to both empower and destroy those who encounter it.

Dynamixor The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.
Teddie Blake The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.
Phillipa Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.
RobLoweSC This movie is nothing, if not amazing. Its tender approach to the various facets of love, well thought out story lines, beautiful soundtrack, and amazing CGI effects really come together to form an artistic masterpiece that has not been fully realized since the 2003 Martin Brest classic: GigliThe juxtaposition of 5 entirely different stories that start off having nothing to do with each other is only rivaled by the clever syntax and jagged transitions that underlies each plot turn. While the themes never, truly, come together, nor do they build up into anything particularly ground breaking: it still leaves much room for conversation and self exploration at the end of the movie. In fact, one could say that its unresolved/anticlimactic nature mirrors the very essence of love. Well...bad love...DISTRUSTFUL love. Then again, one could say anything they want at this point. It's the internet.
ash8752 I like off beat films, I like films that make you think, I like dark films as well as light fun filled films, I enjoy period pieces, action, and I typically LOVE independent films as well............This film was HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Absolutely no point to it. I actually felt as though these big name actors were filming a "joke" to show how their names sell films, but in the end it is more a kick in the you know what. Shouldn't actors have dignity...I think we should be able to rent a movie based on the actors and summary of the film and not feel like the movie was made to waste an hour and a half of life. My boyfriend likes main stream movies...I made him watch this with me....I better redeem myself quickly or I will never be able to choose the movie again. The movie is 5 short "skits" about odd people and the life they live. There is nothing interesting, nothing that makes you think. Actually the only character who made me think was Amy Adams and whether or not she was schizophrenic (SP?) Don't bother watching this.
mercylovespepper I can't even call this a real film. It disturbed me that this was allowed to become a movie. Worst movie ever and I'm being nice. Robert Pattison had about 20 seconds of film time. James Franco was good but his character made no sense. The "tales" were stupid and made no sense at all. It's like hearing a story from a friend about his friends but you know nothing about them. Complete waste of time. At least it was a free viewing. Please i am saving you time and money. Do not watch this "film" you will be completely disappointed. None of any part of the film had anything to do with the rest of the film. And all the titles at the beginning just confused me. Was the director. producer, and writer maybe drugged when they thought this up?
polarsjenn Oh my! I really want my 1.5 hrs & my rental money back. This movie was awful. First of all, I didn't realize it was going to be 5 unrelated short clips. My mistake. Apparently seeing the big names that were in it were enough to rent it without research. I felt like I was watching the Twilight Zone or Creep Show where nothing makes sense and there is no rhyme or reason why these clips were put all together in one movie. When it ended abruptly and did not tie in together AT ALL, I seriously said WTF? I hopped online immediately after it ended to review it so others will not have to endure this suffering. Don't rent it. It's not worth your time or money.
